Installing Quelea
 Open the downloaded Quelea folder
 Inside you should see this files and folders
 Open the Quelea installer

 Click YES to question on making changes to PC
 Click on
 Click on ‘I accept the agreement’

 Click on
 Again click on
 Again click on
 Again click on
 Click on
 Click on
 Quelea is Opening
o Do not be alarmed at the error messages. If you see the VLC error message as below
o Select continue without VLC

 This means you will have to install VLC which we have included for you
 Look for the section on Installing VLC
o Other error message is as below
o Select OK
 You will be able to disable this warning
 Look for the “”section to do this
 Quelea should be open and look something like this:
 Close Quelea.

Installing VLC
Quelea uses VLC to play videos. So you need VLC to play videos in Quelea.
 Install VLC by opening the installer

 Select English if not provided and click on
 Click on

o VLC is finished installing now and should be running. You can close it now and if you
open Quelea you should not display the error message saying you should install VLC.
Setting up Quelea
Copying the Folder/Database across
Copy the .quelea folder and paste it in the location. This will setup your song database, bibles,
motion backgrounds
 Copy the .quelea folder
 Now open your file explorer on your taskbar at the bottom of the screen
 Go to This PC
 Go to your C: drive
 Go to Users
 In this folder you should see a couple of folders. It should have a folder
that is personalised by your login details, like mine circled in red.
 Open your folder and inside should see a .quelea folder.

 Now paste the copied folder and select to replace all files.
Quelea layout
Quelea is similar to the old EasyWorship layout. To see what buttons do hover over them and a self-explanetory note will pop-up.

Finding where you can change settings is under Tools
and then selecting Options.
And you should see this popup window. Below are the advised settings to use. So select and deselect
all the tick boxes accordingly as seen below. Frome the you can customize as you get to know the
program.
Setting up display for first time.

You need to go to the above screen and select the display tab. Under the projector there should be
an Output 2 option after screen is connected.
Adding your own background pictures and videos for themes

For your background videos and images to work you must copy them into the correct folders.
 Navigate to the folder as in the above settings in Copying the Folder/Database across
 Open the .quelea folder and under it you should see several folders.
 For images copy them into the folder named img

 For videos copy them into folder named vid

Quelea does not recognise that I have VLC installed

Either you need to update your VLC that was already installed to the Latest VLC
OR you have the 64bit program version of VLC installed and Quelea only recognises the 32bit version
in which case you should just note when downloading and installing that you do use the 32bit
program.
