DAILY LESSON PLAN IN READING AND WRITING SKILLS


GRADE 11
I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a. explain Organization as properties of well-written text;
b. cite the important of well written text; and
c. Create a short well-written paragraph employing the properties of a well-written text.

II. Subject Matter


a. Topic: Properties of well-written text (organization)
b. Materials: Manila Paper, PowerPoint Presentation, Marker
c. Reference: Internet

III. Procedure
a. Preliminary Activities
 Cleaning the Classroom
 Prayer
 Checking of Attendance
 Reviewing the previous Lesson

b. Motivation (Motive questions)


 What are the steps/process of installing the application in the computer (depends
on their strands).
 The teacher will process and supplement the answer of the students and relate it
them into the topic to be discussed.

c. Lesson Proper
 The teacher will now introduce the lesson about Properties of Well-written text
(Organizaion).
 The students will read and explain the topic.

 The teacher will ask the students the process/or skills they mastered and share
to the class.
 The teacher will process and supplement the answers of the students.
d. Application (Board work)
Directions: arrange the following steps according to its order
_____Analyze the essay prompt. The most important step in writing an essay or
research paper is to fully comprehend the essay question.
_____Create a thesis statement.
_____Make an outline.
_____Begin with the body, not the introduction.
_____Begin each paragraph with a topic sentence.
_____Use credible sources.
_____Don't fake it.
_____Conclude your essay
_____Proofread, then proofread again.

e. Generalization
 The teacher will ask the students of what they have learned from the lesson.
 The teacher will ask the importance of Properties of well-written text in
paragraph.
 The teacher will and supplement students answer.
IV. Evaluation
Directions: create a paragraph of you daily routine before going to school. The
properties of well-written text (Organization) should be present. Write in a 1/whole sheet
of paper.

V. Assignment
Directions: Make an advance research on Coherence and Cohesion as Properties of
well-written text.
