The document provides instructions to crochet two Peppa Pig dolls, one large and one small.

The dolls are constructed by crocheting individual body parts like the head, legs, arms, and then assembling them. The pattern is given for the big doll first and then the small one.

The materials needed are yarn in different colors for the skin, dress, shoes; a 4.5mm crochet hook for the big doll and 3.25mm for the small; stuffing; tapestry needle; and eyes.

Duo of Peppas

About copyright: It’s really something great when people like what I have designed.
You can sell the final item or whatever you like, but it would be nice to reference
where you found the pattern!

If there is anything you do not understand or there are any mistakes, please, send
me a message!

As you can see in the way I write, English is not my first language. So, you could
come across some mistakes and grammatical inconsistencies. Sorry and my
apologies!

This file describes how to crochet two Peppa pigs inspired dolls. One is big and the
other one is a smaller version. If any of the bodies isworked in blue it can be George,
Peppa’s brother.
These dolls are a gift for a workmate’s daughter. The girl loves Peppa and I hope she
likes them.

ABOUT YARN:
The yarn is Alaska from Katia (Spanish manufacturer). Yardage: 3.5 ounces (100 grams) and
126 yards (115 meters).

Number of skeins: 1 of each color: pink (skin), fuchsia (dress), red (dress), some black
(shoes).

ABOUT GAUGE:
It is not important, as far as you are consistent with your tension.

ABOUT HOOK:
4.5 mm hook (big Peppa)
3.25 mm hook (small Peppa)
Remember that when making amigurumis, stitches should be tight.

YOU WILL NEED:

 Yarn for the doll.

 Two pairs of eyes.
 Stuffing.
 Tapestry needle.

ABOUT CROCHET TERMS:

I’ve followed the US terminology.
Stitch: st
Chain: ch
Slip stitch: sl st
Single crochet: sc
FLO: Front Loop Only
BLO: Back Loop Only
Sc2tog: decreasing two sc (i.e., 2 st become 1)
Sc3tog: decreasing 3 sc (i.e. 3 stitches become 1)

NOTE: I’ve made all the decreases as invisible decreases

Body
Using pink.
We join yarn at the neck opening, there are 10 sts, but we need 5 increases: so that’s
what we crochet in round 1: 15 sts.

Round 1:[sc in next st, 2sc in next st] repeat 5 times (15sts)
Round 2: working in BLO, 2sc in every st (30sts)
In round 3 and 4 we can attach the arms:
Round 3: sc in next 28 sts, working through both thicknesses (arm and body), sc in
next 2 sts (30sts)
Round 4: working through both thicknesses (arm and body), sc in next 2 sts. Two
increases evenly spaced in the round (32 sts)
Round 5: Two increases evenly spaced in the round (34 sts)
Round 6: Two increases evenly spaced in the round (36 sts)
Round 7: 3 increases evenly spaced in the round (39 sts)

Round 15: [sc2tog using invisible decrease, sc in next 2st], repeat 6 times (18 sts)
Round 16: [sc2tog using invisible decrease, sc in next st], repeat 6 times (12 sts)
(Stuff as you go)
Round 17: [sc2tog using invisible decrease], repeat 6 times (6 sts)
Fasten off and weave ends.

Legs can be sewn at this point.

Dress
Using fuchia and working in BLO.
We join yarn at the unused loops of round 2 of the body.

Round 1:sc in every st across (15sts)

Round 2: [2sc in next st] repeat 15 times (30sts)
Round 3: [2sc in next st, sc in next 4sts] (36 sts) but … there is a twist in this round:
we need to make the holes for the arms, so there are 6 increases but when we
go near the arms, we skip 4 sts and make 4 chains and go on normally, this
will create the hole: it’s very useful to pass the chains below the arm.

Round 4: 3 increases evenly spaced and work 4sc in each of the 4ch (39sts)
Round 5: 3 increases evenly spaced (42sts)
Round 6-14: sc in every st across (42sts)
Round 15: sl st in next 5 sts (to soften the end)
Fasten off.

Finishing touches:
Sew tail and legs.

SMALL PEPPA

PATTERN:
All the pattern is worked in spirals, so do not join at the end/beginning of a
row.

I wanted smaller Peppa, so I change a bit the pattern and used a smaller hook.
This pattern is easily converted to crochet George: work all the body in blue.
