GENERAL DESCRIPTION
a. The construction of ABCD BUILDING

b. The floor slab has been considered as diaphragms in analysis.

c. The floor to floor height is 3.3 m.

d. A Seismic band has been provided at lintel level to control lateral drift.

e. The foundation system consists of isolated footings and combined footings

placed at a depth of 2m below the natural ground level and is designed for a Safe
bearing capacity of the soil of 80 KN/m² as per the excel data ‘GEOTECHNICAL
DATA

CONCEPT OF DESIGN AND ANALYSIS

A. R.C.C. Work

a) The structure is designed as an RCC frame with columns and beam arrangements.

b) The structure has been analyzed as 3D frame and the design is based on Limit
State Design of Structures complying with Indian codes of practices as listed in
Clause 3. Dynamic Analysis is carried out for earthquake consideration.

c) Concrete Mix (Grade) shall generally be M25 for beams &slabs while M25 for
Footing and Column giving a minimum cube crushing strength of 25N/mm2 at 28
days
d) Period of fire resistance considered is two hours. Cover for fire resistance will be
as per Table 16-A of IS: 456 – 2000 and cover has been mentioned on drawings&
general notes too.
