    UNIT II ANALYSIS OF AUTOMATED FLOW LINES: Analysis of transfer lines without
    storage-with storage buffers Single stage, Double stage, multistage with problems, Automated
    assembly systems-Design for Automated assembly parts feedings devices-analysis of Multi-
    station assembly machine, Analysis of Single stage Assembly Machine, Automated inspection-
    principles and methods, sensors, coordinate, measuring machine, machine vision system,
    optical inspection method.
    UNIT III AUTOMATED MATERIAL HANDLING STORAGE: Material handling
    function, types of material handling Equipment, analysis of material handling systems, Design
    of systems, Conveyor systems, Automated guided vehicle systems, Automated storage/Revival
    systems. Caroused storage systems work in process storage, interfacing handling & storage
    with manufacturing.
    UNIT IV INTRODUCTION TO ROBOTICS: Robot configurations - Types of Robot drives
    - Basic robot motions - Point to point control - Continuous path control COMPONENTS AND
    OPERATIONS: Basic control system concepts - control system analysis - robot actuation and
    fed back, Manipulators – director and inverse kinematics, Coordinate transformation - Brief
    Robot dynamics. Types of Robot and effectors - Grippers - Tools as end effectors - Robot/End
    - effort interface.
    Unit V ROBOT PROGRAMMING Methods - languages - Capabilities and limitation -
    Artificial intelligence - Knowledge representation – Search techniques - A1 and Robotics
    INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
