Presentation: Students are going to be by two groups. Each group must mime an activity, if the apprentices do
not guess the verb, lose a point.

ACTIVITY 2: APPROACHING: PRESENT CONTINUOUS ARRANGEMENTS

We can use the present continuous to talk about arrangements (plans which you have organised) in the future.
The grammar structure is: verb to be: I’m… You’re… He’s/She’s/It’s… We’re… They’re… + verb + ing

1. Find the future arrangements and write them in the boxes.

Next week is a holiday and I have lots of things to do! On Monday, I’m seeing my friends and we’re going to
the cinema. On Tuesday, I’m visiting my grandparents. On Wednesday, I’m playing tennis with my older brother.
On Thursday, my parents are taking me to the dentist – ouch! And on Friday, my best friend is having a party
for her birthday!

ACTIVITY 6: OFFERS: WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO DO TONIGHT?

When you want to invite someone, you’d better ask them whether they are interested in your suggestion.

kinds of responses:

I wouldn’t miss it for anything. I’d love it but I have to…

If your invitation has been rejected you can go on If you are lucky enough and they have accepted your
suggesting another time or another activity, or you invitation, just go on to fix a date (time, place):
can give up and say something like:
Great! Let’s meet at 4 at my place.
What a pity! Another time perhaps. Cool! I’ll pick you up after school.
I’m so sorry. It would have been so good to spend
some time together.
