Tradition
The origin of the guitar as an instrument harks back to antiquity, with
many versions and shapes. But our modern classical guitar dates from
the 19th century. A luthier from the south of Spain, Antonio de Torres,
is its creator (1859). In the Music Museum of Barcelona, his guitars are
exhibited: shape, size, manufacture concept with the exclusive Spanish
heel, bracings which were unique.

Spain is the cradle of the modern classical guitar. Alhambra Guitars

has inherited the culture of the traditional Spanish elaboration of
guitars and respects the specific elaboration elements of its inventor,
which gives authenticity and quality to each instrument.
RESPECTING
THE
ENVIRONMENT
Due to our company philosophy and our corporate social
responsibility, in Alhambra Guitars we always want to improve the
sustainability and optimization of all the process: selection of
hardwood at source, treatment of them and recycling.

Noble wood: The wood used for the elaboration of our guitars comes
from forests and plantations, which are managed with the highest
environmental standards. Thus, the exploitation of environmentally
sustainable resources and the benefits for people are guaranteed. In
this way, we promote the conservation and sustainable use of forests,
especially virgin forests, the last virgin forests of the planet.
Procedures regulated by CITES (Convention on International Trade in
Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora).

Varnishes: Life seal for the instruments treated

with water-based varnishes.

into force in Spain by means of the Royal Decree 1080/2015 (December 4th)
to ensure the legality of the commercialization of wood and wood products.
