Area Inventory List :

1) Its totally based on how we create the inventory.


2) Knowing all the list of all items in every part of the hotel.
3) Every hotel has different types of guest rooms for that reason
according to the standards of the hotel the separate inventory is
needed.
4) When preparing the guest room we should have an idea to follow
the same sequence for his or her operations.

Frequency Schedule

1) We have to do the quality of work according to the standards of


the hotel.
2) Here executive house keeper will develops the performance
standards.
3) Executive housekeeper will do daily inspections and evaluate the
performance standards of the staff.
4) We have to specific job coaching and retraining to the staff.
5) This helps us to how the staff are showing their performance
standards on tasks given.
6) Cleaning methods to be followed in systematic way.
7) Should use accurate cleaning agents in particular type of floor.
8) Whether they are using correct equipment in the Wright place
or not.
9) Whether they are using correct cleaning procedures or not.
10) All the employees should know the leaning task to their
consistent level.
11) Time is more important to carry out the best practices in
house keeping.
Productivity Standard

1) Quantity of work to be done by the department employees.


2) Productivity standards should be limited according to the
operating budget plans.
3) Managers should know how long does the room attendant is
cleaning the room frequently in given schedules.
4) Once this information is known we can develop the productivity
standards can be developed.
5) If the quality expectations are too high, than the worl done will
be very low.
6) Every hotel should develop their standards in several factors
which vary from one property to another.
7) Some of the factors for productivity staderds are:
1) Type and age of the property
2) Types of surfaces involved
3) The accessibility of the work area.
4) The frequency of cleaning.
5) The amount of traffic involved in work area.
6) There should be supervision & Inspection.
7) Standards of cleaning.
8) The quality of employes.

Time and Motion study in house keeping operations

1) To analyse the work methods are completing in time or not.


2) We can calculate the time for given task to house man.
3) This helps in calculating the staff levels.
4) To do a time and motion study several staff members can perform
the same tast at given time.
Pathway

1) It involves the study of path covered by the worker.


2) A floor plan of the work area is drawn to scale and fixed to the
board on the wall.
3) A long thread is pinned down at the starting point of the plan.
4) When ever the houseman turns that point is marked as motion.
5) The thread gives an idea of the distance travelled for completion
of task.
6) The time taken is also noted.
7) Various pathways will be tried to find out the simplest route to
finish the task successfully.
