    Life Orientation Term 2 Project Grade 12

    VISION 2025
    Learning outcomes for this assignment:
     Formulating a personal mission statement for life based on:
    - Personal views, values, belief system, religion, ideologies, lifestyle
    (physical and emotional well-being), responsibilities, goals for studies,
    career choices and future endeavours.
     Impact of vision on:
    - Actions/behaviour in life
    - Immediate community and society at large

    DUE DATE: When school returns


    Instructions:
     Please submit your project on Moodle via PDF. No hardcopies or emails
    will be allowed.
     Read the instructions carefully.
     See rubric attached to see how you will be marked.
     Canva is a great app for this project.
     There is no template for this project, be creative!
     You are required to have the “Oxford Successful” Life Orientation handbook to
    finish this task.
    The aim of this project is for you to prepare a 5 year plan for yourself. Work
    towards envisioning what you hope to achieve over the next 5 years by
    creating your own Vision 2025. Be realistic in your approach and set goals
    for yourself while developing the plans you will put into action.
    1. Introduction: Here you set the tone of your project and explain the importance
    of a Personal Mission Statement and the impact that a 5 year Vision can have
    on your life. Refer to pages 104 -112 in your LO handbook to help you complete
    this activity.

    2. Motivation for positive change: This section calls on an itemised improvement


    plan. You must clearly define the possible positive impact that your 5 year plan
    will make. This is where you identify what motivates you. Apply your mind to
    practical strategies and improvements you plan to make. Focus should be
    around specific techniques and improvements you could make as well as where
    you will be involved and what you will do over the next 5 years.

    3. Plans for life after school: This requires you break down your long term goals
    for the future in terms of every aspect of your life. This is where you should
    define your passion and calling. Specifically: values, belief system, religion,
    ideologies, lifestyle (physical and emotional well-being), responsibilities, goals
    for studies, career choices and future endeavours. This section requires the
    explanation as to what you will do over the next 5 years. Research may be
    required here and a plan should be created with specific detail. Also refer to
    pages 6 – 29 and 128 – 147 in your LO handbook.

    4. Role modelling behaviour: This is where you will need to research 3 examples
    of role models. You need to motivate why you have selected each individual and
    define the characteristics and core values of each individual, that stand out to
    you, which in turn you plan to be adopted in your life moving forward.

    5. VISION 2025: Visual representation of the plans and details you have stated
    above are clearly represented which are focused and realistic. Examples: In the
    form of charts or images etc.
