Principles of Electrical Engineering (ECE) : Unit 1 DC Circuits

This document outlines the key principles and units of study in an introductory electrical engineering course. The five main units cover DC circuits, AC circuits, network theorems and DC transients, DC machines, and transformers. Some of the major topics included are Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's laws, network analysis techniques, sinusoidal waveforms, resonance, three-phase systems, network theorems, DC machines characteristics, and transformer operation. The accompanying lab portion involves experiments verifying circuit laws and theorems as well as measuring performance of transformers, motors and generators.
