SOP for Pharma Building Maintenance

1.0 PURPOSE
To describes the procedure to be followed for Building Maintenance.

2.0 SCOPE
The procedure is applicable for all the external & internal areas in the plant.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY
Technicians are responsible to follow the laid down procedure in sequential manner. Engineers are

responsible to monitor closely and ensure that laid down procedure are followed.

4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY
Head Engineering

5.0 PROCEDURE

5.1 Ensure that all the area to be painted is made available & the articles lying in the area are

properly covered.

5.2 Roofs above the following areas and internal walls and external walls are checked for

cracks, and crevices, before the start of the rainy season.

5.3 Administration Block.

5.4 Production area.

5.5 Quality Control Laboratory.

5.6 Service Area.

5.7 Utility Blocks.

5.8 All drains are checked for chokes & blockages and cleaned if required.

5.9 Underground drains are checked for chokes & blockages and cleaned if required.

5.10 All the utilities pipelines are checked for any leakage or rusting.

5.11 Plaster/repair of walls & floors will be finished by meson. Painting/white wash will be done

by painter. Repair of PVC. drain lines will be done by plumber only. Wooden/Glass work will be

done by carpenter.

5.12 Engg. Dept. will depute the persons for every building maintenance work
