    STAGE 1:

    Technology and its effects on environment:

    The main purpose of technology is to transform the natural environment to better adapt it to

    human needs and desires. In this process, natural resources such as land, air, water, materials,

    energy sources, etc. are used, which provides people, labor and the market for technological

    activities, with this in mind the human being has exceeded the capacity of the environment.

    of all environmental problems have to do with man and his great desire to improve and advance

    regardless of what happens to his ecosystem, so as the technology advances nature will

    deteriorate more every day.

    STAGE 2:

    Technology and global warming: ¿What do you think will happen if current trends of

    technology development and consumerism continue?

    In the modernity in which we live, the globalized world is increasingly conditioned by new

    technologies that are constantly growing and innovating. They impact positively on society, and

    as a result are consumed in a massive way.

    As time passes, the social imagination changes. This is important because individuals are

    constituted from social practices.


    Today in social networks they have an impact on the way we relate. It can be said that

    relationships changed, because the consumption of these technologies will contribute to changing

    the way we see the world and ourselves, and the use of them sharpen and increase individualism.

    Today's society is going through a historical moment, where it has put individualism above the

    community and the common good. With regard to consumption, it is clear that we are living in a

    consumerist society, where man consumes to seek his own happiness and that many times makes

    obtaining goods never be enough.

    STAGE 3:

    ¿What can be done? Write your advice on how we can contribute to the improvement of

    current environmental crisis.

    In order to contribute to the improvement of the current environmental crisis, we as citizens must

    become aware of the problem we are experiencing and affect us day after day, demand respect

    for the environment, the contribution of citizens can contribute in some aspects such as:

    Do not throw garbage and debris on the street or anywhere, Avoid annoying noises (loud music,

    horns, open exhausts), Plant trees and collaborate in the maintenance of green areas, and the

    main one, Educate the community to through the media (TV, radio, newspapers) to raise

    awareness of respect for the environment.


    STAGE 4:

    Dear Mr. Secretary:

    By means of this letter I want to address you to request support in the management and

    conservation of the environment in my country, given that with the use of technology today the

    principles of environmental conservation are lost.

    For this reason, I request that the United Nations be given the tools and knowledge necessary to

    have optimal and sustainable productivity in such a way that it does not endanger the integrity of

    species or ecosystems in our country, and to adopt new strategies.

    I appreciate the attention that can be presented to this petition and any type of strategy that can

    be presented with the aim of mitigating the impacts of technology on our environment.
