If you are one of the fortunate ones to be reading this, congratulations, you have made an excellent choice!
It is without reservation that I write this letter of recommendation for Mrs. Elizabeth “Beth” Pardo as she seeks to
further her glowing educational career at your highly regarded learning institution. I have had the privilege to work
collaboratively with Beth for the past four years at Owen. She came to us as an experienced elementary teacher and
developed into an extraordinary teacher and respected leader.
Intuitively Mrs. Pardo goes above and beyond what is expected on a daily basis due to her genuine passion
and care for the students and love of learning. She is a tremendous asset for all stakeholders in our learning
community! Mrs. Pardo is an outstanding communicator, she is naturally creative and engaging when presenting to
five or 60 year olds. Her pedagogy is forever being polished due her to desire to meet the needs of each of the
children in her classroom, as well as, in the school. She truly believes educating the children of the future is a
responsibility few people are given the opportunity to fulfill. In my opinion she does this effortlessly and naturally,
even though I know how much time, love and energy she puts into her lesson creation.
Mrs. Pardo is multi-faceted in her knowledge and experience due to her inquisitive nature to learn and
understand the variety of systems that permeate a school and district organization. The most recent is how to
educate 5-11 year old children through remote learning. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the closure of schools
comes with it the many idiosyncrasies for learning and implementing best practice in virtual learning. Mrs. Pardo
never hesitated in leading from the front to collaborate, problem solve and provide guidance to her colleagues as she
honed her skills and developed new and exciting learning opportunities to share with students and families.
Mrs. Pardo has a remarkable ability to collaborate, problem solve, listen and provide win-win solutions for
any situation presented to her. Her enthusiasm, flexibility, open-mindedness and conviction are hard to match. She
eagerly accepts the responsibility of collaborating and building trusting relationships in order to have courageous
conversations focusing on appropriate pedagogy that will engage and meet the needs of each learner. Beth
consistently asks what do we want them to know and be able to do and how do we know when they get there? She
eagerly and efficiently collects and analyzes student academic and behavioral data to provide interventions for any
student who may be struggling or needing enrichment in order to reach their full potential. Mrs. Pardo has a way in
which she professionally and gently builds a bridge between home and school with even the most disengaged
student or family member. She has sound judgment in difficult situations and maintains her integrity at all times.
Strong positive relationships are developed and maintained over the years due to Beth’s dedication and passion for
understanding and supporting the whole child in their education.
As I retire this year, I reflect on the past 30 years in education and can truly say Mrs. Elizabeth Pardo is one
of the diamonds that every learning institution should be fortunate to have in their community.
If it isn’t obvious already, she is exceptional and you would be honored to have her lead the way in learning
for the children and adults in your organization. Please contact me if you would like to discuss Beth’s qualifications
and experience in more detail.
