    Aborted Engine Start if:


    1. No EGT within 30 seconds of 3
    initiating the start.
    2. The engine does not continue
    to accelerate through 18% - 28%
    RPM.
    3. The EGT approaches 770 °C
    CAUTION: Before starting
    engines, ensure C.A.P. DOOR and
    POD DOOR captions are not
    illuminated

    (The switch should light up red and stays latched in)
    (If an air start is being executed the switch will not illuminate)

    NP: 10% F/O CALL FUEL FLOW & EGT COMING UP
    18% F/O CALL CRITICAL IN
    28% F/O CALL CRITICAL OUT
    40% F/O CALL BETA LIGHT ON
    50% F/O CALL OIL CAP OFF
    3 60% F/O CALL STARTER LIGHT OUT
    ( check START and SELECT switches release and lights go out).

    F/O OPEN THE AIR FLOW

    NOTES:
    The engine will normally reach 10% in 5 -10 seconds and the EGT
    will start to rise 1-2 seconds later. The initial acceleration depends
    upon electrical supplies, ambient and engine oil temperature.
    The time to reach10 % RPM could increase significantly under cold
    conditions.
    If the start is abandoned because of no light up, a
    MANUAL START (SRL OFF) should be used

    When signal man is in sight FO will turn off the TAXI Lt.
    When parked Captain will request "ENGINES SHUTDOWN" and the FO will:
