ceiling from different ends and avoiding Man Movement at one certain area.
# Only approved number of personnel. Equipment’s & tools shall be allowed as
per the Procedure on “ Working on False Ceiling ”
# Work in progress, unauthorized entry boards shall be displayed.
# Work area surroundings to be completely barricaded to prevent unauthorized
movement below false ceiling.
# All trained personnel must only have deployed for the Job including JSA.
# Medically fit certified workmen shall be deployed.
02 Working on False Ceiling # Failure of Scaffold # Light weight, DRL approved/certified ladder shall only be used.
with Light Weight Scaffold # Failure of False ceiling. # Work shall be commenced only after obtaining Authorization in Annexure-I of
Procedure, Work Permit for working over False ceiling.
# Scaffold along with the weight of material & personnel working over it shall
be less than 150 kg per panel.
# Scaffold shall be positioned on light weight Plywood and Scaffold legs shall
be placed on four panels.
# Entry on different area shall be made from different end using different Access
Scaffold as practicable.
# Corridor area or a common area shall be avoided to minimize dynamic load on
one area.
# Point Load, 150 kg/Panel shall not be exceeded any point of time during the
work.

• Cut openings shall be opened only after authorized permission in Annexure-I
of procedure and shall be closed immediately after the completion of works
and to be informed.
• Proper barricading to be provided for any openings on the false ceiling with
edge protected with Life line/Rope.
• No one shall be allowed to work in the edges or walk or lift any materials
through the edges of the panels
• Proper access shall be provided for man movement and material movement.
• Life line should be provided to allow people to hook up the safety belt at safe
height

work area or Scaffold.
All other precautions as stated in “Working on False ceiling” Procedure shall be
followed.
