NYLON

Nylon is a of a synthetic polymer family that is more commonly referred to as polyamides. Nylon has great abrasion resistance,
good wear, and a low coefficient of friction. It is USDA approved, FDA compliant and it is most often selected for it's ease of
machinability.

Nylon is a strong, stiff engineering plastic with outstanding bearing and wear properties. Nylon is frequently used to replace
metal bearings and bushings, often eliminating the need for external lubrication. Other benefits include a reduction in part
weight, less operating noise, and decreased wear on mating parts.

APPLICATIONS: KEY CHARACTERISTICS:

• Food processing machinery components • Enhanced bearing and wear grades available
• Wheels • FDA compliant grades available
• Rollers • Glass-filled grades available
• Seals and gaskets
