ENGLISH MONTH CELEBRATION 2018

CHARLIE: To our respective and competent Campus Director, Dr. Luisito P.


Muncada. To our service-oriented and effective Assistant Directors, Dr. Ma.
Assuncion G. Desales for Academic Affairs and Dr. Juliet C. Lagrimas for
Administration. To our ever-diligent and brilliant Officer In-Charge for
Research and Extension, Prof. Alejandro Giray. To our passionate and
purpose-driven Head of the Office of Student Affairs, Prof. Marciana L.
Irinco. To our knowledgeable guest of honor and speaker. To our dedicated
and values-oriented mentors, faculty and staff of UEP Laoang Campus,
students, friends, ladies and gentlemen…
Good afternoon and welcome to the 2018 English Month
Celebration!
Rufa: Today, we are here to celebrate the magical world of English as it has
always been the chain that linked countries and people together. Hence, it’s
the language of Science, of aviation, diplomacy and tourism which continues
to dominate the entire nation.

Charlie: Consequently, UEP Laoang Campus is committed to promote love


for reading and to celebrate the diversity of learners and cultures through
reading, speech and writing in a healthy competition as it deepen the
appreciation and development of oral language and expressive mechanisms
to gear up the students with camaraderie, values and meaningful life
lessons.
Rufa: And to formally start our program, we are requesting everyone to
stand for a sung prayer to be led by Cristine Jade Dula. Please remain
standing for the Singing of the Philippine National Anthem and UEP Hymn.

Charlie: At this juncture, let s welcome Mr. Marlo Capacio, President of the
L2 Circle for his opening remarks!

Rufa: Let us welcome him with a big hand!

Charlie: Thank you Marlo for that very warm welcome!

Rufa: At this point, let us now come to the awarding of prizes to the winners
of the different contests…
Charlie: We may request Dr. Luisito P. Muncada, Dr. Ma. Assuncion G.
Desales, Dr. Juliet C. Lagrimas, and Prof. Alejandro Giray to assist us in giving
the awards and prizes to the winners.

Rufa: Congratulations winners! This time, let us welcome Mr. Joville Galit
and Ms. May Precious Giray for an intermission number!
What about a big hand for them?

Charlie: I guess everybody’s refreshed, powered-up and stimulated by that


fantastic performance! Thank you Joville and May Precious for firing-up the
stage!
Rufa: At this point, Instuctor Kim Joshua Lagrimas will introduce our keynote
speaker for this momentous affair.
(Message ni Ma’am Roselyn…)

Charlie: Thank you Ma’am Roselyn for that very inspiring and remarkable
message!

Rufa: This time, let us welcome Mr. Nino Anthony Pitalbo for his Spoken
Word Poetry Presentation!
Around of applause please!

Charlie: Thank you Nino for that wonderful performance!

Rufa: And that’s the end of the first part of our program. We are now going
to turn-over the microphone to our next moderators for the second part of
the program.
