Introduction:
TO-DOS, Task Management System
Overview of the project:
We all have those days when there are million things to do, and we don't know how we're going
to get it all done. It's easy to become overwhelmed by the vast quantity of tasks that we must do
from day to day. Sometimes we have so many balls in the air, that we may even lose track of
some loose ends and forget to do important things. When we get too busy, we end up feeling like
we are barely able to keep our heads above water. This application will enable user to get rid
from this mess by giving simple platform where he can manage his daily routine task
management.
Research/Design/Model
Development/Investigation Plan/Proposed
Solution/Expected Make-out:
We'll make a web app, which will be called as TO-DOS. This app will allow user to keep track
of his daily task in the form of TO-DO-LIST. This application will allows users to keep track of
their tasks.
Interface Description:
The interface will be created using the framework of HTML, CSS & Hopefully
JavaScript & PHP as well. The main To-do interface window will be a web application with the
view where options will be shown. The view will constitute of Title bar at the top of App, where
user would have to write a task.
Juxtapose, title entry option there will be an option called "Add", which confirms the task
to pop-up with display right below title bar. User would be able to "Check" the completed tasks
and could add task as much he would be wanted to add. There will option “Deletion” as well,
which would remove the task from the task list.
So, apparently, Adding or editing a task involves bringing up a new dialog. This dialog
would allow user to enter the description at title entry, check/uncheck the completed task box
and deleting the task.
Module: User-management
Add Task
An area will be provided to add a task upon its initial creation. More descriptive text related
to the task would be entered there i.e. General information about task such as contacts, statement
of purpose and overall progress can be added in one entry. User will simply click on the title
option from within the Views menu in order to add a task.
Clicking on a task in the Tasks view allows for task modification as marking it as complete.
A form is displayed with all of the pertinent task information. Click this will mark the task as
complete.
Tasks can be deleted when needed. This may be due to data entry errors, a task or project
being aborted, completed tasks or projects that are no longer needed for viewing purposes, etc. In
order to delete a task, click on the edge of task's description in the tasks view which will be like
cross sign icon. Clicking or tapping on that cross-sign button will delete the task.
