Sec. 7.1 - 7.5 pp. 48-50; Art. XII, Sec. 12.3 p. 70; Art. XIII, Sec. 13.1 – 13.4 pp. 73 - 78; App. A, pp. 82 - 84; App. B, pp. 90 - 93; App. C,

Attendance:
1. Attendance should be regular and punctual. You are expected to be inside the classroom five minutes after the
2nd bell. You are considered absent when you fail to appear in the class fifteen (15) minutes after the second bell
has rung. If you incur 11 unexcused absences in an MWF lecture class or 7 unexcused absences in a TTh lecture
class, you will be dropped from the official roster of students. Thus, make sure to secure excuse slip for your
excused absence.
2. Participation in all class activities is a must for everyone. Thus, report to class prepared and bring your course
outline every meeting.
3. The use of electronic gadgets (e.g. cell phone, IPod, MP3 players) is strictly prohibited unless relevant to the
class discussion.
4. Special exams and quizzes may be given if reasons for failing to take them are valid. If you missed an exam and/
or a quiz, secure an excuse slip from your Dean and see me during my academic consultation period.
5. HONESTY is a value observed by every Augustinian. Cheating in any form during quizzes, assignments, projects
and examinations is a serious offense and you will automatically get a score of zero.
Punctuality should be strictly observed in the submission of assignments and projects. Assignments and/or
projects turned in after the due date will have corresponding deductions.

Make Up Class:
 Make up classes may be scheduled during laboratory or at any time outside of the regular schedule for the following
reasons:
1. Completion of required topics for the specific grading period for lack of regular contact hours due to suspension of
classes for activities approved by the Vice President for Students Affairs or the Dean; transport strike; calamities; and
other circumstances beyond control.
2. Excused absence of the Instructor for health, or emergency reasons.
Cooperative learning:
 You will be assigned problems to solve with in a group or questions for group discussion. Students are expected to take
responsibility for their own learning. Cooperative work with classmates is encouraged—except during quizzes and exams!
Ask for help when you need it, do your part in cooperative learning activities, challenge yourself to grow, and accept
responsibility for your grades and actions.
Academic honesty:
 You are expected to adhere to high standards of academic integrity, i.e., avoid cheating on quizzes and exams.
Complaints:
Complaints about points given to assignments and exams must be brought to the attention of the instructor within 48 hours after
their return. All points are considered final afterwards. Make it a habit to keep all returned test papers and assignments as proofs in
case of complaints about grades later.
