ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

To the beloved subject teacher in Research CAPSTONE,

Mrs. Mariza Mapalo, for her guidance and support to our

ideas during the work of the study. The critique made by

Mrs. Mapalo in the study did help the study to be fully-

built and concrete.

To the ever-supporting adviser of STEM-12 Newton, Mrs.

Aurie Amor Quiñones, for also guiding the researchers in the

study especially in the computation of the data and for

advices on improving our research successfuly.

To the classmates, especially to Ms. Bethee Mae Balanag

for lending the researchers her knowledge in computing the

significant difference of the study. Without her help, the

researchers might not be able to finish the study.

To the ever supporting principal, Dr. Adela C. Libunao,

for encouraging the students in doing their best in her best

way. Also, for the hardworking assistant principal, Mrs.

Sylvia Milan, for giving supportive comments during the

experimentation.

vii
To their family, for the unwavering support, patience

and understanding during the exhausting, difficult times

that this research was conducted and written.

ABSTRACT
Most plants needed the three macronutrients namely:
phosphorus, nitrogen and potassium. According to [ CITATION
Moo13 \l 1033 ] of Michigan State University, a medium-sized
pomelo contains 1315 milligrams of potassium, 37% of daily
value. One component needed to make a good fertilizer.
The main purpose of the study is to formulate the
potential of pomelo (citrus maxima) peels in fertilizing
the soil and increasing the growth process of the plants.
Clean pomelo (C. maxima) peels were gathered from the
plant. The peels of pomelo were washed under clean, running
water. Afterwards, the diced peels were transferred to a
clean container. These treatments were administered every
seven (7) days for each treatment.
The data revealed that the pomelo peels gained the highest
mean signifying that it is an effective fertilizer to tomato
plants. IN the study, there is no significant difference among
the treatments which means that they are equally effective as
fertilizers.

Keywords: Citrus maxima, Peels, Tomato plants, and Fertilizer.
