French Press

1. Fill the kettle with at least 300 grams of


water. Add a little more water to use for
preheating the press.

2. Preheat the press with a little hot water.


Throw the said water out into the basin.

3. Measure 26 grams of coffee grinds

4. Pour the grinds evenly into the french


press.
5. Pour a small amount of hot water into the
press. Let it break for 30 seconds.

6. After 30 seconds pour the remaining


amount of hot water into the press in
circular motion. Cover the apparatus and
begin a 3 minute and 30 second
countdown with your digital watch.

7. After 3 mins and 30 seconds, push the


plunger down.

8. Serve coffee.

Siphon

1. Fill the kettle with exactly 400 grams of


water.

2. Pour the 400 grams of hot water into the


lower chamber, rememebring not to
completely fill the lower chamber (to
avoid overflow when the upper chamber is
inserted).

3. Take the cloth mesh and lock it into the


upper champber.

4. Mount the upper chamber into the lower


chamber gently but securely.
5. Light the alcohol lamp and directly place
the fire right under the middle part of the
lower chamber.

6. Prepare 30 grams worth of coffee grinds.


Set aside.

7. When the water starts to rise on the upper


tube, adjust the flame as needed (you may
pull it away slightly. Remember to never
pull it away totally at this point of the
brewing process). When left with only a
little amount of water in the lower tube,
pour the coffee onto the boiling water in
the upper chamber and stir the mixture 10
times.

8. After stirring, immediately start your timer


for 1 min and 45 seconds
9. After 1 min and 45 seconds, remove the
heat and immediately stir for 5 more
times.

10. Liquid will then start to move down into


the lower chamber. Wait until all liquid
mixture has settled into the lower
chamber.

11. Serve coffee.

V60

1. Fill the kettle with at least 340 grams


water. Add a little more water to use for
preheating the carafe.

2. Fold the side of the filter paper. Place it


into the V60 cup. Wet the paper on the
sides to remove the ‘papery taste’. Throw
the said water from the carafe.

3. Measure 26 grams of coffee and pour


them evenly into the V60 cup.

4. Pour 40 grams of hot water on the coffee.


Immediately after pouring 40 grams, start
your timer for 45 seconds to give time for
the coffee to bloom.
5. After 45 seconds pour the remaining
amount of hot water continuously in
circular motion on the sides of the paper

6. When all the water has been poured,


immediately stir 5 times.

7. Let coffee go down completely from the


V60 cup.

8. Serve coffee.
