concepts will be discussed next meeting.

PRESENTATION: 5 minutes
In measuring the production of an economy, we can’t avoid
to describe it using the national income. If no one will
produce goods and services, the national economy will collect
no income.
To determine the economic performance of a country, we
are using the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and GNP (Gross
National Product). However, the economic performance of a
country is more clearly visible when we will see the standard
of living of the people. GDP and GNP are just numbers. When
we are able to see the situation of the people who are less
fortunate or under the poverty line, we can determine the
economic performance of a country. That is why, sometimes,
even if the GDP of our country is high or increasing, the poor
people can’t feel it because they believe that they are still poor
and nothing changed about that.
But when can we determine if the economic performance
of a country improved or developed?
Yes__________________?
Very good.
When the GDP and GNP are increasing, we can determine When the GDP and GNP increase.
if the economic performance of a country improved or
developed.
For you to fully understand about the measures of
economic performance, we will have a short activity and a
discussion afterwards.

earned by foreigners in the Philippines, like
profits paid to South Korean investors who
are part owners of Philippine companies and
payments to American consultants hired by
Philippine companies.
