    We will require Raw Material for First for Months = Rs.5,40,000 * 4

    =Rs.21,60,000/-

    PACKING MATERIALS

    Cartons, Hangers, Tags, Polythene etc. will cost upto Rs.80,000 approx. per month

    We will require Raw Material for First for Months = Rs.1,00,000 * 4

    ELECTRICITY COST PER MONTH

    Rs.45,000 to Rs.60,000 as per other socks knitting units near by.

    In case when there is no electricity, then Electric Generator will be used that will have increase
    in cost due to cost of Diesel.
    PRODUCTION IN A MONTH
    1 Pair of Socks takes 5 minutes
    1 Machine produces 14 dozen to 18 dozen pairs in a day
    AVERAGE PRODUCTION IN A DAY = 180 Pairs
    (After considering labour /electricity short fall etc.)

    COSTING OF ONE PAIR OF SOCKS


    1 Pair = 40gm (Plain Socks)

    Total Cost = Total Yarn Cost + Processing Cost + Cost of other Factors of Production

    Total Cost = 11.64 + 9 + 4.36 = Rs.25 (Cost Price of Plain Socks)

    Cost of Designer Socks will be from Rs.35 to Rs.45.

    If we produce 180 * 10 Machines = 1800 pairs in a day

    Total Production in 25 working days in a month = 1800 *25 = 45,000 pairs

    If we calculate Total Cost per Month, then it would be 45,000 * Rs.25= Rs.11,25,000/-
