The U.S. Mission in Kigali is seeking eligible
and qualified applicants for position of
Voucher Examiner.
Job Summary:
The work schedule for this position is Full time
(40 hours per week).
Supervisory Position: No
Relocation Expenses Reimbursed: No
Travel Required: Not Required
Incumbent serves as one of three Voucher
Examiners in the Finance Section. Performs
full range of in-country and international
complex voucher examinations and payment
processing for over 13 Million USD of
Major Duties: payment vouchers per year on behalf of six
ICASS agencies. S/he ensures all voucher
payments are proper, appropriate and
accurate. Acts as an alternate Class B
Cashier managing up to a 120,000 USD
advance.
EXPERIENCE: Three years general
Requirements: experience in
accounting/finance/economics/budgeting
required. Minimum six months experience in
cashiering/cash handling is required.
Education Requirements: Minimum of High School degree is required.
LANGUAGE: Level IV English and
Kinyarwanda (speaking/reading) is

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA:

1. The Mission may consider any of the


following when determining successful
candidacy: nepotism, conflicts of interest,
budget, and residency status.

2. Current employees of the Mission who


have not successfully completed their initial
probationary periods are not eligible to apply.
Current employees with an Overall Summary
Rating of Needs Improvement or
Unsatisfactory or MBC score of 100 points or
less, on their most recent Employee
Performance Report (EPR) are not eligible to
apply.

3. Current employees of the Mission hired on


a Family Member Appointment (FMA) or a
Personal Service Agreement (PSA) are not
eligible to apply within the first 90 calendar
days of their employment. This does not apply
for employees on a PSA (Temp), or those are
hired on a When Actually Employed (WAE) or
intermittent work schedule.

4. Candidates who are EFMs, USEFMs,


AEFMs, or MOHs must have at least one year
remaining on their sponsor’s tour of duty to be
considered eligible to apply for this position.
