What is Unilever?
-Unilever is a global company that provides many various goods with different
functions all around the world.
-In 2012 was recognized as the worlds largest consumer goods company.
- On any given day, 2.5 billion people use Unilever products to feel good, look
good and get more out of life.
- Seven out of every ten households around the world contain at least one
Unilever product.
What do they sell?
They sell consumer goods with different purposes.

• Their products include; foods, beverages, personal care products,


and cleaning agents.

1.       Could you tell me about yourself?
-My name is Burak Toprak. I got my bachelors degree from Southern
illinois University on industrial/mechanical engineering. I received my
masters degree in finance major from University of South Florida.
Business started for me in Unilever, responsible in supply chain in demand
planning, logistics & customer service. Now I am responsible for the
business development & new projects in sales departmant.
 

2.       Could you give me a general information about the company?


-Unilever is a global FMCG company of stakeholders that reach to 2.5
billion people annually, generates 53 billion € and has 400+ brands & 169k
employees. Unilever produce 51% of sustainably sourced materials and
creates %28 less waste since 2010.
 

3.       What is expected from you as a manager?

6. What can you contribute to this company?
- I can contribute to my company more institutional perspective.
 
7. What is your greatest strength?
- My greatest strength is determination and ambition.
 
8. What is your greatest weakness?
- My greatest weakness is anger.
 
9. What major challenges and problems did you face? How did you
handle them?
- When I began working for Unilever, there were lots of problems. New work,
new people, new management understanding. It was not like the places I
worked before, and it was hard for me to get used to the new environment,
and work by new rules.
 

10. What motivates you?


- My Board of Directors and my ideals motivate me.

11. What strategies would you use to motivate your team?
- I would use fellowship to motivate my team. Now I have a good
communication with all my team members. I like do something
with them out of work.
 
12. What was it like working for your manager?
- Our General Manager is our Board of Director. He always
want perfection. So, working with him is a bit difficult but very
terrific.
 
13. How Do You Measure Your Success as a Manager?
- If we reach goals that Boards prescribe, we are successful.
14. What was your biggest accomplishment / failure in this
position?
