1 GENERAL
This specification covers the manufacture, shop testing, supply, erection and commissioning
of Road Weigh Bridge for 0.8 mtpa Iron Ore Pellet Plant being put at INVERSIONES
ECOTEK (S.A de C.V).
1.2 The Road Weigh Bridge shall be complete in all respect and any items / components not
mentioned in this specifications but essential for proper design and operation of the
equipment shall be included by the tenderer
1.3 If the tenderer feels that for any items specified hereafter, he is in a position to submit more
suitable offer, he shall indicate them specifically with specific reason and submit an alternative
quotation on the basis of specifications he considers more suitable and capable of meeting
the duty requirement.
2 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
2.1 The weigh bridge shall be complete with (but not limited to) the following:-
Load cells – 40 T capacity each, SS, IP – 68, : 6 Nos.
Hermetically sealed, accuracy better than 0.015%
Load Cell Mounting Kit : 6 Nos.
Load Cell Extension Cable : 30 Mtrs. (approx.)
Junction Box with in – built surge suppressors : 1 No.
Weighing Terminal : 1 No.
Printer Interface Card : 1 No.
Memory Card for Storing Data of 2000 weighments : 1 No.
80 column Dot Matrix Printer : 1 No.
3 INSTALLATION
The Weigh Bridge shall be used for weighing truck / double dumper / Lorries / tankers for the
incoming & outgoing material from the plant.
4.1 The Road Weigh Bridge shall be manufactured and tested in accordance with the relevant
ASTM / International Standards. The tenderer shall specify the standards followed for each
item.
4.2 All equipment shall be for operation in tropical humid climate with a mean highest temperature
during summer of 34.60C and relative humidity of 99%. Maximum ambient temperature and
maximum relative humidity however are not likely to occur simultaneously.
4.3 The Weigh Bridge shall be manufactured from high quality materials under highly skilled
workmanship and shall comply with the best standards for accuracy of such machines.
5 SCOPE OF WORK
5.1 Manufacture, assemble, shop testing, supply transport at site, erection and commissioning of
Weigh Bridge.
5.2 Guarantee
5.2.1 Supplier shall guarantee that the equipment shall give performance as required by
specifications.
5.2.2 The equipment shall be guaranteed for proper workmanship and performance for a period of
18 months from the date of commissioning or 24 months from the date of supply whichever is
earlier.
5.3 The supplier shall submit the drawings for foundation bolt plan, foundation loads, electrical
cable arrangement for designing and preparing the civil construction drawings.
Wherever possible, the edges / profiles of plates, ribs etc. used for fabrication items shall be
machined to keep the distortion in fabrication to minimum. All fabricated parts shall be stress
relieved by vibrating stress relieved / any other suitable process before machining.
The unit shall be shop assembled for checking accuracy of parts and alignment.
Manufacturer’s certificate to this effect shall be furnished prior to delivery.
5.6 Inspection
Stage and Final Inspection shall be carried out at the discretion of the purchaser as per a
mutually agreed schedule.
5.7 Painting
The Weigh Bridge will be painted with two coats of Red Oxide Zinc Chromate Primer and one
coat of high temperature aluminium paint before dispatch.
5.8 Supply
The equipment shall be supplied complete in all respect covered by this specification. All such
components that are necessary for the successful performance of the equipment shall be
included whether those are specifically mentioned herein or not.
5.9 Transportation
