The document appears to be an exercise asking the student to summarize key details about Magellan's expedition to prove the Earth was round. It explains that Pigafetta joined the voyage after hearing about it in Barcelona in 1519, and that Magellan did successfully prove the Earth was round through his exploration. The exercise questions ask the student to identify the author's purpose, main theme, important information provided about Philippine history, and shed light on 16th century people's politics, economy, religion and culture based on the text.
