SUBJECT NAME: INTRODUCTION TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP
PRE-REQUISITE: -

1.0 SYNOPSIS

This course emphasizes the fostering of entrepreneurial culture among the students so that
they can embrace entrepreneurial values in everyday life. Students will be exposed to the
basics of entrepreneurship in term of history, concepts and theories, self-development, skills
and behaviour. The students are also exposed to the development of creative and innovative
skills, as well as business start-up process. This course will expose students to several
methods of starting a business that will serve small businesses and medium enterprises.

2.0 OBJECTIVE

Students are expected to


1) Understand concept and importance of entrepreneurship
2) Understand the business environment and entrepreneurial skills
3) Develop business platform through website and social media
4) Prepare a business plan.

3.0 LEARNING OUTCOME

At the end of this course, students able to

1) Explain the concept and importance of entrepreneurship (C2)


2) Discuss the business environment and entrepreneurial skills (C2,A2)
3) Demonstrate a business platform through website and social media (C3,P5)
