IDEAL FOR:

• Safe, controlled cleaning of large tanks and vessels POSITIONING BOOMS

Large tanks and vessels can be among the most difficult cleaning challenges due to their size, limited access
and internal geometries. StoneAge offers several tools that keep the operator out of the tank. The most efficient
means of cleaning is a 2-D tool moved along the axis of the vessel. This is not possible in most tanks due to
central obstructions such as agitators. In these cases the simplest way is to use a 3-D tank cleaning tool.

The easiest method for using a 3-D tool is to hang it in the tank by the high pressure hose. Several types of
positioners for 3-D tools allow you to place the tool closer to the surface to be cleaned and position the tool away
from obstructions. Large diameter tanks that have an accessible center can effectively be cleaned using a 2-D
rotating tool that is slowly raised or lowered to achieve complete coverage. Nipple extensions should be used

BOILER TUBE CLEANER

Safe and Productive Boiler Cleaning
The StoneAge BTC-100 Boiler Tube Cleaning system is engineered to automate the
cleaning of radial tubes found in the mud drums of package boilers that are often found in
chemical and petroleum refining plants. The BTC-100 fits through a standard mud drum
manway and uses StoneAge’s patent pending Helix Drive Technology to clean boiler
tubes without the need for an operator to enter the vessel.

FEATURES:

• Lightweight, modular design allows a single operator to move, set-up and run

• Helix Drive Technology delivers up to 50 lbs (23 kg) of push to clear plugged
tubes and travel long distances through multiple bends

• Can be adapted to clean other types of boilers by modifying the size of

a few components

• Independent control of forward and reverse feed rate enable
