HEALTH EDUCATION GUIDE

“ Healthy lifestyle atimana para himsog og gana”


I. Introduction:
- It is necessary to conduct Health Education class to the community people of the 3 barangays of Poblacion Sur Catchment, namely Poblacion Sur, Guadalupe and La
Libertad for them to be aware of the existing health and health related problems in the barangay and its proper management.
- Statistics shows that:
o 962 residents had acute respiratory infection (cough and colds)
o 442 residents aging 25 years old and above are hypertensive.
o 285 out of 1281 households do not have blind drainage.
o 371 households have stray animals.
o 1007 households utilizes improper garbage disposal. 137 households utilizes burning; 137 households utilizes open dumping.
II. Description of the participants:
- All community people of the 3 barangays of Poblacion Sur Catchment – Poblacion Sur, Guadalupe and La Libertad.
III. Date and Venue:
Venue: Brgy. Hall, BHS
Date: 2-3 week of March

IV. General Objective:


- At the end of the health education class, the participants will be able to be aware of the existing health and health related problems in the barangay and is able to
acquire knowledge on the proper management of each of the health problems existing.
V. Specific Objectives:
- At the end of the session, the participants will be able to define, classify signs and symptoms and know the ways to prevent the acquisition of ARI &Hypertension. And
will be able to define and effects of not having blind drainage, utilizing improper garbage disposal and effects of presence of stray animals.
