MATERIAL SAFETY DATASHEET
After inhalation of decomposition products, remove the affected person to a source of fresh air and keep calm. Provide
medical aid.
On skin contact:
Areas affected by molten material should be quickly placed under running cold water. Burns caused by molten
material require hospital treatment.
On ingestion:
Rinse mouth and then drink plenty of water. If difficulties occur: Seek medical attention
Specific hazards:
The following substances/groups of substances may be released in case of fire: carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide,
styrene and traces of hydrogencyanide.
Further information:
Dispose of fire debris and contaminated extinguishing water in accordance with official regulations
Personal precautions:
Avoid inhalation. Sources of ignition should be kept well clear.
Additional information:
High risk of slipping in case of leakage/spillage of granulate.
Handling:
Processing machines must be fitted with local ventilation.
Storage:
Protect against moisture. Avoid extreme heat (>60°C). Avoid all source of ignition: heat, sparks or open flame.
Specific use:
Avoid dust formation. Dust can form an explosive mixture with air. Provide adequate ventilation. When the product is
ground (chopped), dust explosion regulations should be followed.
The process parameters must be set within the range as recommended in the technical datasheet.

MATERIAL SAFETY DATASHEET
Residual monomers
Residual monomers are not routinely measured. If adequate ventilation is used, it is expected that monomer
concentrations remain well below the limits given below.
Hand protection:
Use additional heat protection gloves when handling hot molten masses (e.g. of textile or leather).
Eye protection:
Safety glasses with side-shields (frame goggles) (EN 166)
Body protection:
Body protection must be chosen depending on activity and possible exposure, e.g. apron, protecting boots, chemical
protection suit (according to DIN-EN 465)
Form : granules
Colour : white
Odour : faint odour of plastics
Stability:
The material is stable under ambient conditions. It oxidises exothermically above ambient temperature.
Conditions to avoid:
Avoid extreme heat. Avoid all sources of ignition: heat, sparks or open flame.

MATERIAL SAFETY DATASHEET
Thermal decomposition:
To avoid thermal decomposition, do not expose to temperatures above 300°C. See technical datasheet for appropriate
processing temperatures.
Substances to avoid:
Strong oxidizing agents and strong acids and strong base
Hazardous reactions:
The material is chemically stable.
If handled properly and in accordance with general occupational hygiene rules, the product
is unlikely to be harmful to health. There are no experimental data available for this product.
Ecotoxicity
Persistence and degradability:
Assessment: No data available concerning biodegradation and elimination.
Bioaccumulation potential:
The product will not be readily bioavailable due to its consistency and insolubility in water.
Sewage Treatment
Expected to be practically non toxic, LC/EC/IC 50 > 1000 mg/L
