2.1 Cement Job Procedure
• Egptco CEMENTER WILL CONDUCT A PRE-CEMENTING JOB OPERATIONAL MEETING PRIOR TO CEMENTING. THE
OBJECTIVE OF THIS MEETING IS TO ARRANGE PITS THAT WILL BE USED FOR MIXING SPACER AND ASSURE CLEANING
PROCEDURES, CHECKING WATER SALINITY, CHECK ALL CALCULATIONS AND TO REVIEW THE FINAL PLUG BACK CEMENTING
JOB EXECUTION PROCEDURE WITH WEPCO WELL SITE LEADER, THE DRILLING CREW THAT WILL BE ON LOCATION DURING
CEMENTING OPERATIONS AND THE RIG CREW THAT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR OPERATING THE RIG’S PNEUMATIC SYSTEM,
FLUIDS SYSTEM AND MUD ENGINEER.
• THE STINGER IS RECOMMENDED TO BE AT LEAST EQUAL TO LENGTH OF THE CEMENT PLUG OR LONGER.
• CONFIRM FIRM BASE BELOW CEMENT PLUG IF NOT, DON’T RUN CEMENT PLUG UNLESS SPOTTING A HIGH VISCOUS
WEIGHTED PILL OR BRIDGE PLUG TO BE AS A FIRM BASE BELOW THE CEMENT PLUG, IN OUR CASE THE TD @2855 WILL
BE OUR BASE
• CIRCULATE AT LEAST TWO COMPLETE WELLBORE VOLUME TO CONDITION THE WELL BORE FLUID AND ASSURE
WELLBORE IS CLEAN, AND
ENSURING THAT WELLBORE FLUID PROPERTIES IN ARE EQUAL TO PROPERTIES OUT, WHICH WILL AID IN COOLING
DOWN THE HOLE TEMPERATURE, DISPLACEMENT EFFICIENCY. THUS IT’S RECOMMENDED TO HAVE THE SAME
HEIGHT, AND 0.5-1 PPG ABOVE THE MUD DENSITY OR AT LEAST THE SAME, ALSO ITS RECOMMENDED TO HAVE AS
MENTIONED BEFORE
• R/U EGYPTCO CEMENT LINES. HELD PJSM AT RIG FLOOR WITH ALL CONCERNED PERSONNEL. DISCUSS ALL RISKS
ASSOCIATED TO THE OPERATION.
• PRESSURE TEST CEMENT LINES FOR 3,000PSI (HIGH) FOR 10 MIN. PLEASE FOLLOW EGPTCO APPROVED SAFETY
PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES DURING PRESSURE TEST.
• START PUMP 15 BBLS MIX FLUID AHEAD AS SPACER .
• START PUMPING 21.5 BBLS 15.8 PPG CEMENT AT A RATE OF 4-5 BPM USING EGPTCO UNIT.
• PUMP 5.5 BBL. 8.5 PPG MIX FLUID BEHAIND (CEMENT SLURRY AT A RATE OF 4-5 BPM USING EGPTCO UNIT.

• DISPLACE VOLUME OF DISPLACEMENT FLUID (AS CALCULATED ON LOCATION) USING EGPTCO UNIT WITH 4-5 BPM.
DECREASE PUMPING RATE TO 1 BPM AT THE LAST 10 BBL. AS THE CEMENT START TO EXIT THE TUBING THEN REDUCE TO
1 BPM FOR LAST 10 BBL. TO ENSURE PLUG STABILITY. UNDER DISPLACE PLUG BY 3-4 BBL. AND CAREFULLY MONITOR THE
PRESSURE. USE ACTUAL TUBING CAPACITY WHICH INCLUDES COUPLING IDS.
NOTE: IF LOSSES ARE ENCOUNTERED THROUGH THE JOB DISPLACEMENT RATE MUST BE DECREASED AS LOW AS
POSSIBLE CONSIDERING SAFE THICKENING TIME.
• STOP PUMPING, CHECK AND MEASURE RETURN TO ENSURE BALANCED PLUG INTEGRITY.
• POOH 30-50 FT./MIN AT LEAST 100 M ABOVE THEORETICAL TOP OF SPACER, THIS SHOULD NOT TAKE MORE THAN 90
MIN AS THE SLURRY IS DESIGNED WITH 90 MIN STATIC TIME ONLY. THEN NORMALLY CIRCULATE DRILL PIPE CAPACITY
USING RIG PUMP. CIRCULATE AND RECIPROCATE PIPE WHILE NORMAL CIRCULATION.

• WOC 12 HRS. IN A STATIC CONDITION AND DO NOT DISTURB CEMENT BY ANY MEANS, TAGGING OR PRESSURE
TESTING DURING THE WOC TIME.
