What I need to know?
A. Introduction
 The learners will do the walkthrough of the lesson expectations.
 In this part, the content of the lesson will be presented.
 Learning objectives will also be introduced to guide the learners on the
learning targets founded on KSAV principles.

What’s new?
 The learners will answer the prompt questions indicated at the beginning
of this part. (in the SLM this is in the What’s In part)
 After answering the activity, the students will realize or discover how
music has developed into what it is today.

What I know?
B. Development
 The learners will answer the 15-item activity to test what they know
about music of the 20th Century.
 After answering the questions, they may check their answers on page 18
to determine their background knowledge about the given topic reflected
in the MELC.

What is it?
 The learners will read the paragraphs that introduce the concepts about
Impressionism Music and the characteristics of its prominent composer –
Claude Debussy.
 To further develop the students ‘knowledge about Impressionism music,
the learners will proceed with reading and personal discussion on other
musical composer – Maurice Ravel.
 Other reading materials/notes from former Grade 10 students may help
them in developing their KSAV about the topic.

C. Engagement
 To deepen the students’ learning about Impressionism music, if they have
internet access, they may check the example musical works online using
the links provided below each composers’ part.
 After listening to their sample works, students should answer the
questions provided in their module.

What I can do?
 The learners will do/perform the activities indicated in the module. These
activities include the:
- COMPOSERS’ TABLE ACTIVITY
- WRITING ACTIVITY.
- MUSIC LISTENING ACTIVITY
 These varying activities will help them in involving themselves in deeper
learning on the target concepts about Impressionism Music.

D. Assimilation
A. Create and design a piece of music using any available technology (keyboard,
computer software, phone applications, gadgets, radio, TV, etc) at home.
Combining traditional instruments may also be used. Record the sound that each
technology produces and combine them. Use a variety of electronically based
technologies to produce different sounds.
