When the printed circuit modules are defective, the fault can be solved by replacing the defective printed circuit modules only. Therefore, finding out the defective printed circuit module isOperation and repair instruction Page 10 the key method to solve the fault in whole log. 5.1 Fault category one Fault symptom: ‘The log can not show the speed correctly. Analysis of causes: 1) The speed parameters are modified in mistake; 2) Power failure; 3) The CPU board in the log is defective; 4) The ADC plate in the log is defective; 5) The main instrument and the sensor are not connected well; 6) Defective sensor. ‘Solution: 4)Reset the main instrument. Check CPU self-checking parameters if they are correct. and find out the fault according to error code, If the speed parameters are modified in mistake, correct the speed parameters according to the speed data sheet. 2)Replace the printed circuit plate or sensor in the main instrument. 5.2 Fault category two Fault symptom: ‘The remote indicator shows in mistake or shows nothing, Analysis of causes: If only the remote indicator shows in mistake or shows nothing, it may be that the remote indicator and connecting box are not connected well, or the printed circuit plate in the remote indicator is defective. Solution: Remove the connecting fault or replace corresponding circuit board. 6 Safety protection measures and fault handling 6.1 Protective measures and precautions ‘The power supply voltage fluctuation shall be within the specified range, otherwise, the Jog may not work normally or even be damaged. 6.2 Fault handling procedure and method a Ifthe fault occurs, check first if voltage is normal, in particular +5V power supply. Itis the basic guarantee of the computer for normal working. If it is not normal,Operation and repair instruction Page 11 eplace fuse or power supply. b Check setup parameters if they are changed. © Check mechanical fault, such as loosen cable connection, damaged wires etc., and replace them if necessary. 4 Push down reset button to run self-diagnostic program. According to the error code at self-checking, replace the plug-in parts on the printed circuit board. © If the items above are checked, and the value is not changed after pushing down the reset button. Check the reliability of output cable connection. f If the remote indicator is normal, put the log at simulated condition. Check if the simulating value conforms to the displayed value. If it does not conform to the requirement, replace A/D conversion printed plate. 9 If the remote indicator is normal at simulated condition, put the log into speed measuring working condition. If the log works not properly at this moment, check the pre amplifying board or the sensor if they are defective. fh When the main instrument shows normally but the remote indicator shows abnormally, check first the reliability of cable connection, then consider replacing the printed circuit plate of the remote indicator. 7 Maintenance 7.1 Maintenance during operation ‘Check regularly the bottom vaive in voyage for leakage. If the bottom valve leaks, the special tool shall be used to tighten the nut in the valve body until no leakage occurs, or loosen the nut, wind sealing rope, then tighten up the nut in the valve body. 7.2 Day-to-day maintenance and maintenance plan Maintenance of the log when staying in port, 1) Examine the bottom valve for leakage. if it leaks, take down the upper seat and tighten the nut in the valve body with the special tool until no leakage occurs. 2) Remove the dust inside the log. 7.3.
