DISTRIBUTION
1. PURPOSE
To describe the operation and cleaning procedure of Vortex mixture
2. SCOPE
This procedure is applicable for operation and cleaning of the vortex situated in the
Quality Operation Division of The ACME Laboratories Ltd.
3. RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Users are responsible for proper operation and cleaning.
3.2 Head of QC is responsible to check the whole operation.
4. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Training is required from Jr. Officer-I / Executive and upto the Head of QC.

7. PRECAUTIONS
7.1 Proper handling of the machine.
7.2 Ensure use of rubber cushions for glass tubes.
7.3 Bring speed knob to 'OFF' and increase speed gradually.
7.4 Never operate the unit without a shaking head securely attached.
7.5 Always wear shatterproof eye protection.
7.6 Do not use or mix solvents and flammables on or near the mixer.
7.7 Shake hazardous samples in appropriate containment vessels.
8. PROCEDURE
8.1. Operating Procedure:
8.1.1 Centrifuge Operation
8.1.2 Switch on the power.
8.1.3 Connect the instrument with main power supply.
8.1.4 On the switch on the left side for auto rotation of rubber pad.
8.1.5 On the switch on the right side for rotating the rubber pad with touch.
8.1.6 Select desire option for use the instrument.
8.1.7 Then put the test tube on rubber pad
8.1.8 Set the speed with the help of knob.
8.1.9 On completion turn the speed knob anticlockwise.
8.1.10 Switch “OFF" the instrument.
8.1.11 Switch “OFF" the main power.
8.2.1 Clean the surface of vortex mixture twice daily at start and end of days work with lint free
mopping cloth moistened with 70% IPA.
