1. Introduction

This Research Project is covering about the topic: “Grade 7th students from Iwá Upper
Primary School are not caring English Language”, along its development it will develop
about: research questions, objectives, general objective, specific objectives, data
analysis, rationale of state, framework, literature review, research methods, research
sample, data collection, ethics issues, and chronology of activities

It is organized by: an introduction, development, conclusion and references

This Research Project aims to find out why Grade 7th students from Iwá Upper Primary
School are not caring English Language, so there will be used qualitative research,
because according to FEWKES, Dawn (2002) says Qualitative research methods
tend to focus on information which can be analysed by observing and
interpreting actions.

English Language.

2.1.Research questions
 What are the main factors?
 How to exceed this problem?
 Which methods should be used?
 What is necessary to do?
2.2.Objectives
2.2.1.General objective
 To comprehend the main factors, why Grade 7th students from Iwá Upper
Primary School are not caring English Language.
2.3.Specific objectives
 To find out the main factors, why Grade 7th students from Iwá Upper Primary
School are not caring English Language?
 To analyse how to exceed grade 7th students from Iwá upper primary school care
English Language.
 To describe methods to this problem.
 To suggest what is necessary to do during the lessons.

3. Data analysis

During the research, there will be done the following activities during a month of July.

 Interviewing students and teachers in a week. Observing lessons in two

classes and two periods for the aspects (communication among students,
and teachers_ students), collecting data analysis, making interviews with
the students and teachers in two periods (morning and afternoon ); and
registering all dataset collected.

4. Rationale of state

According to John Dudovskiy “Writing a dissertation” says to succeed students caring

English Language it’s necessary to read a boring textbook. But according to the reality
of the students there will be necessary to suggest some methodologies that can be
followed by the teachers and students such as, using a bit of translation during the
classes, encouraging group communication in the classroom an asking for their help if
necessary. 2
5. Framework

Increasing about literature review_ in some literature reviews the researcher may put his
or her opinion disaccording or according to idea.

About interview_ during an interview is necessary to use opened and closed questions
depending in each situation. So in this research will be used opened and closed
questions.

6. Literature Review

John Dudovskiy says a literature review discusses published information in a

particular subject area, and sometimes information in a particular subject area within a
certain time period. Increasing in some literature reviews the researcher may put his or
her opinion disaccording or according.

Else he “says during a research project it’s necessary to do an interview because the
idea is to generate discussion not a formal question and answer situation”. To increase
during an interview is necessary to use opened and closed questions depending in each
situation. So in this research will be used opened and closed questions.

7. Research methods

During the research, there will be used the following methodologies:

 Interviews – Because the idea is to generate discussion not a formal

question and answer situation. The questions themselves can be either
unstructured, semi-structured or structured dependent on how the
interviewer would like the conversation to develop. That’s why there will be
used this method.
 Focus groups – according to John Dudovskiy says these methods are
sometimes used in place of or in addition to individual interviews. Groups
interviews are usually made up of 5-10 participants, and the questions can
be constructed in any of the ways listed for the interviews. So there will be
grouped 5 students from different classes.
 Observational_ this type of research tends to be longer term and the
methods can be employed in a few different ways. The researcher can
either participate in the activities they are observing (participant
observation) or not (non-participant observation). They can also observe
overtly, where they disclose their identity as a researcher to the
participants, or covertly, where they do not reveal they are a researcher
and act as a natural member of the group. However, there are ethical
issues with the covert method as it involves deception. Then there will be
observed English lessons, by the following aspects: speech; participation and
relationships among teacher and students during a week. 3
8. Research Sample

After to register all activities, there will be necessary to show a sample which will
demonstrate all collected data and results. All dataset will appear in a table.

9. Data collection

In this research project there will be used papers to make register, student’s budgets to
analyse marks of students if are favourable. There will be observed too the schedule of
students to control the period that they use to study English Language.

10. Ethics issues

This Research Project was produced by the owner and others participants whose can’t
be named. And all activities were happening in the School mentioned on the topic
above.

11. Chronology of activities

There are all activities that are going to be done during a month of July:

 First week of July going to school to observe lessons in two periods, morning
and afternoon;
 Second week collecting data analysis to observe (budgets, schedules);
 Third week making interviews with the students and teachers in two periods
(morning and afternoon );
 Fourth week registering all dataset collected.

12. Conclusion

To finish this research project that covered about the topic Grade 7th students from Iwá
Upper Primary School are not caring English Language. Now is being concluded that
following this research project could be possible to surpass this problem from that
school. So this research project was made for this problem.

To congratulate all people whose contributed during the researching process and the
references because it helped too much to produce this research project.
