● As a student of Kalinga State University, what is your opinion on the

implementation of Bondong system in the province? Are you in favor? Explain and
discuss
=============================

Yes, I am in favor with the Bodong systm.Bodong refers to the peace pact[1] or
treaty, used by the Kalinga people in Kalinga Province, northern Philippines.[2]
These peace rites are usually accompanied by Kalinga songs such as the ading,
wasani and the dandanag.[3] It is a unique judicial system wherein the peace pact
holder appointed by the pangat (tribal leaders) of a certain tribe holds a peace
agreement with another tribe. In this system, two tribes agree to ally with each
other. The bodong is usually worked out in large gatherings between two villages
that belong to the same geographic area and shares kinship ties.they call the
written laws pagta.[4] The tribes in Kalinga are known for their tribal-wars
wherein a life is repayable only with another life. These vengeful tribes will not
settle unless the tribe of the person who committed the misdemeanor will surrender
or will be killed. Thats why it plays an important role.

● How Kalinga core values affect the lives of people living in our province
particularly those migrants who are not blooded Kalinga?
Discuss briefly
================================
The core values of Kalinga has great impact on the lives of people, specially on
those who are not blooded Kalinga. The core belief to the God then belief for the
relation between man and his fellow man and mans proper attitude toward others, are
heavily affecting people. Those who are kalinga natives already has believe in
those beliefs which makes them unique to their culture with forcing them stick with
the good. On the other hand those who are not blooded Kalinga are also specially
affected. To learn about the beliefs is really very important for them to get used
to with the local Kalinga Life. Thus it will drive them to the same path where the
native kalinga people goes.

Are we selfish about cultural globalization? Do we prefer that people keeping their
traditions in price of not improving their way of lives?
===================
I think it is good for our living on earth that one day we keep either “metric
system” or “imperial system” and saying good bye to the other one. I guess it
brings a better understanding and communications. But, we are mostly do not have
same idea about cultural features like arts, music, clothing, foods, etc.
The other thing is that some ethnic people in developing countries think that
westerners would rather that the "others" keep their traditional way of life to
have fun in their visits to strange lands. What’s your opinion would you keep your
traditional way of life even if it’s demands hard work and harsh way of life?
Tradition is a huge concept and I think the problem starts here. I present an
example:
When we say tradition it also includes water supplying for villages in remote area
of developing countries. A number of traditional water supplying particularly from
rivers and well involve spreading disease when we compare it with developed water
refinery systems. Do we prefer that those villagers keep their traditional water
supplying? This is only one instance I provided here to clarify a bit my point.

does song and dance affect our cultural identity

===================÷÷
Songs and dances are two biggest elements which affects our cultural identity.
Because they work like a time capsule. They teaches us about language. They are
part and parcel in any celebration. They influenecs fashion. Songs and dances
connect us with others. Live music and dance bring us together. It creates
controversy and progressive positivity. And finally there are anthems for all. Thus
songs and dances heavily affect our cultural identity.
