Beginning of class ● Students should enter the class and
find their seats while getting out any
materials needed for the class ● Students may talk to their classmates and use the restroom, or do anything that should not be done during class during the first few minutes of class to get any distractions out of the way before class gets started ● Students will be able to choose where they want to sit, and will prove they can handle sitting with the peers they chose ● I will start class by announcing class is starting and give the students a few seconds to settle down and become ready for the class ● Students will listen to announcements silently and then have time to make comments and ask questions
Managing the ● Students will leave there seats when
they need to do something (get water, movement of the go to the restroom etc..) they do not need to ask for permission but will be classroom asked to do so and not disturb the class and in a timely manner ● If students have a question they may raise their hands to notify me they have a question ● If students are working alone the room should be silent unless they are asking me or a peer a question, if they are working in a group the noise level can be louder, but not loud enough that the surrounding classrooms can hear ● If students are working in a group they may move seats to sit with their group, and the groups may choose where to sit ● If a student needs to speak during class they will raise their hand and the teacher will call of them ● During presentations done by other students, they will listen and give their undivided attention to them and save their comments and questions for the end of the presentation ● As the teacher I will have extra supplies for students to borrow during class if they do not have them ● Students will be encouraged to get all their supplies prepared at the beginning of class, however things happen and if they need a new supply or need to sharpen their pencil they may get up and do so ●
Paper Work ● Students will turn in their work in a
basket at the front of the class at the beginning of class ● Students will turn in late and missing work to the same place as the normal turn in basket but will put on the provided late work sheet they need to fill out and attach it to their assignment ● Students will distribute hand outs by passing them back to one another ● Late work will have a penalty but I believe they should get 2 free passes. Late work will get 10% knocked off every school day ● If a students misses a test they will set up a time with me to take the makeup test. ● Late projects will be under the same rules as any other late work
● Students will be told the course
Syllabus or Course objectives at the beginning of the Outline semester and will get a course outline along will syllabus going in more detail ● Students will be told of the course assignments at the times they are due and will be reminded of the assignments, there will also be a place on the board that shows what is due when ● Students will be given assignments a week before they are due, for major assignments they will get them 2-3 weeks before they are due ● Students will have time to work on major assignments in class of certain days ● The grading scale will be presented at the beginning of the year, and major assignments will come with instructions and a rubric to follow.
