LAL KITAB
Astral charts of almost every one shows some defects in the form of Maha Dasha,
pertaining to the positioning of planets, which disfavor the subject time and again in his
life. These defects can be cured by observing some simple remedies indicated in the text,
originally written in Urdu. One can practice them for quick results. Remedies described
below are general and applicable to all positions-houses (I-XII).

REMEDIES FOR THE MALEFIC OF JUPITER

JUPITER IN 1stHOUSE (BENEFICE): Subject will be rich even if uneducated-illiterate.

One will progress due to his own labour, kindness and good dealing. He will be lucky till
the age of 51. He will be helped by his relatives. Goods pertaining to Moon (-like Silver)
will help him in smooth functioning of life. His official duties-work and conduct, court
cases and disputes will be influenced by relatives in addition to goods related to the Sun.
He will enjoy a good health. He will acquire higher education if the 7 th house is occupied.
He will be a good administrator and skilled in many fields, if mercury is auspicious. He will
be a well-wisher of others, and his prosperity will increase, if Moon is auspicious. He will
be comparable to king or administrator, but live like a saint. He will buy
yellow colored goods from self-earned money if eleventh house is also auspicious. Sun,
Moon and Mars in 1st, 2nd and 4th house will bring the money from government funds, which
will be auspicious to him. He will own valuable properties if Mars is in seventh house. He
will have a long (-prolonged) life, if the Sun is in seventh house.

JUPITER IN 1st HOUSE (MALEFIC): If Mercury is inauspicious or enemy planets are in

2nd, 9th, 5th or 12th houses, the subject will be uneducated but miraculous Faqueer-Recluse.
Nobody may acquire higher education in the family. Children will not be healthy if Saturn
is in fifth house. He will be unhappy to see the evil things at his place. He will become
unhealthy if Saturn is in ninth house. His father will die due to heart attack or asthma if
Rahu is in eighth house. He may face problems related to eyes, brain or legs, at the age of
42. He will lose money in court cases, if combination of Sun and Mercury is inauspicious,
in eleventh house. His children will create miserable condition, if Saturn is in inauspicious
house with Sun, Moon or Mars.
REMEDIES: Burry Mars’s articles. Perform remedies for Moon. Keep some money (-
received from government fund) in the safe-locker.

JUPITER IN 2nd HOUSE (BENEFICE): The subject will earn money, if he keeps

donating some money. His wealth will further increase, if native works in night shift.
Native will get profits from government, at the age of 27. Native will grow the father’s
wealth and will be religious. His expenses will also be on higher side. One will be famous
and honorable, in the society. The work related to clay and ladies goods will be profitable.
The work related to gold will never be profitable. He will earn wealth, till the age of 32,
even if born in a poor family. If Saturn is with Jupiter in second house, he will be highly
educated. He will be happy, courageous and famous, if Saturn is in twelfth house. He will
live like a king if Rahu is auspicious.

JUPITER IN 2nd HOUSE (MALEFIC): The subject will have premonition of his death, if

Ketu is in sixth house. He will destroy his family, if Moon and Mars are in eighth house.
He will be unlucky everywhere and for everyone, except for himself. He may face loss of
wealth, poor health and jail, if Saturn is in tenth house and Mercury is in eighth house. He
will keep jealous of others, if Mercury is in seventh house.

REMEDIES: keep goods pertaining to pacify Jupiter, in yellow cloth and donate it, in
some temple. Always the guest and never insult them. Offer milk to snake. Perform
remedies for Jupiter.

JUPITER IN 3rd HOUSE (BENEFICE): The possessor will be rich, educated, and

obtain money from government throughout the life, if employed with the government. He
should serve girls (-kanya, daughter) and worship Maan Durga (-especially during Nav Ratr
Vrt). The seventh Mercury might show opposite results if the possessor fails to do what has
been directed here. Native will be long lived if Saturn is in ninth house. He will be rich, if
Saturn is also auspicious. He will be courageous, if Mercury is in seventh house. He will be
happy and a well-wisher, if Mars is in second and Saturn is in ninth house.

JUPITER IN 3rd HOUSE (MALEFIC): The subject may be unlucky and coward. His

friends will take away all his wealth, if Saturn is in fourth house. He will lose if he is not
cautious, while listening to the flattery by others, if Moon is in twelfth house. He might turn
into a robber, become rich, atheist and unreliable. His children and mother’s brother (-
Mama-maternal uncle) will become unhappy during when he turns 31. He may be naughty,
quarrelsome, coward and stinking.

REMEDIES: Worship Maan Durga. Perform Kanya Puja, which is always auspicious.

JUPITER IN 4th HOUSE (BENEFICE): The subject will be religious, helping others,

long-lived, foresighted, honored, respects all religions, keep himself away from quarrels,
satisfied, lives like a king, wealthy, one in million, lucky, spiritual, kind, good character
and blessed with pleasure of all kinds. He will have pleasure of possessing all type of
vehicles, if Moon is in first and Saturn is in tenth house. His father will be on higher
government post or will get one, after his, if either Sun or Mars is auspicious. It does not
mean good luck for him. The expenditure on education will be returned back along with
interest, if Ketu is also auspicious. He will be long-lived and have high morals. He will be
highly educated, spiritual, worthy, famous, getting benefits from the government, if
Mercury is auspicious or Sun is in tenth house. He will be famous, well-wisher and will
have comfort of all kinds, if Saturn is in 2 nd, 9th or 10th house. Saturn in second house will
make the subject clever. His official tours will be beneficial, if Moon is in tenth house.

JUPITER IN 4th HOUSE (MALEFIC): The subject may be turned into a beggar, if Ketu

is inauspicious. He will behave like a coward. He will get inauspicious effect from goods
pertaining to Moon, if Rahu is inauspicious. Venus, Mercury, Rahu or Saturn in tenth house
will bring loss of wealth. Mercury in tenth house will make him worthless-destroying
himself and he will prove to be inauspicious for the family. Day dreaming-dreaming like
idiots, after the age of 34; will destroy him, along with his family.

REMEDIES: Be obedient and respect elders. Do not drink and eat non-vegetarian food.
Do not keep illicit relations with other woman.

JUPITER IN 5th HOUSE (BENEFICE): The subject will be honored, spiritualistic, fiery

and humanity. If Rahu is auspicious, he will hold high post in Armed forces and people
under him will have pleasant time. Sun, Moon or Mars in seventh house will enhance his
wealth, family and children. All the evil effect will vanish, if one of his children takes birth
on Thursday.

JUPITER IN 5th HOUSE (MALEFIC): If Ketu is in eleventh house, one will be issue

less- if he begs or accept donation for religious purposes. He will also not get shroud on
death, his child may die in the womb and native may not have children. Jupiter will remain
silent, if Rahu is in ninth house. He will be a sadhu and his livelihood will be Bhiksha-
begging alms, if Rahu is inauspicious.

REMEDIES: Worship Ganesh Ji, perform remedies for Ketu; keep off from liquor, meat
and other’s women.

JUPITER IN 6th HOUSE (BENEFICE): The subject believes in simple living, high

thinking. He will get everything without asking for it. Accepting donations, in the name of
elderly people will enhance-boost his luck. He will remain happy and wealthy, until his
father is alive. He will not have like to do any work, since he will get everything without
efforts. He could be sadhu or Faqueer-Recluse. If Ketu is auspicious, he will be happy,
good character but mother’s brother will be poor till the age of 40.

JUPITER IN 6th HOUSE (MALEFIC): The subject will be unlucky till the age of 34, if
Ketu is inauspicious. He will turn into a beggar and may wander street to street. Mercury in
twelfth house is disastrous for his wealth and his father. This may happen, when he is 16.
REMEDIES: Always donate in the name of elderly people. Perform remedies for Ketu and
offer sweet bread to dogs, worship Ganesh Ji, pour water in the roots of a peepal tree.

JUPITER IN 7th HOUSE (BENEFICE): The subject will be extremely religious. The

auspiciousness of seventh house will depend on the nature of the Moon. Journeys will be
pleasant and he will never die during journey. He will die in his own house. His efforts to
visit abroad, for earning money etc., will go waste. Even if he dies abroad, his death rituals
will be performed at the ancestral place. His fate will shine, after the marriage. He will
never die under debt or childless. He will prosper for the next 34 years, after the birth of a
child. If Jupiter’s friendly planets are situated in 1st, 2nd, 5th, 9th or 12th house, he will be
famous for his religious endeavors. If Ketu is also auspicious, he will be devoted to
religion. It’s whether he will be wealthy or not. Sun in first house makes him an astrologer,
happy and aware of worldly mysteries but it will not ensure that he will be wealthy.

JUPITER IN 7th HOUSE (MALEFIC): If Saturn is in ninth house, the subject will

become robber or thief. If Mercury is in ninth house, marriage or family life will not be
pleasant. If Saturn or Mercury is in 2nd, 6th or 12th house, he will not have male child. If he
gets a male child, the child will be highly inauspicious for him. Saturn or Mercury in fourth
or eleventh house will make him unlucky and stammering. If the first house is empty, he
may donate lots of things to masses but he himself will not get anything without hard work.

REMEDIES: Wear yellow tilak on the forehead every day. Keep the head covered and
keep a vein. Do not wear any maala-rosary-bead necklace, in your neck. Do not insult guru
or saint. Do not cut peepal tree.

JUPITER IN 8th HOUSE (BENEFICE): The family members will be long-lived, if

Mercury is in ninth house. If Moon and 2nd, 5th, 9th and 12th houses are auspicious, the subject
will be capable of solving the mysteries, wealthy and long-lived. If second and fourth
houses are auspicious, he will either be very unlucky or highly lucky.

JUPITER IN 8th HOUSE (MALEFIC): If Mars is in fourth house, the subject will be poor
and coward. He will be happy in all conditions, if mercury is in ninth house. Saturn or Mars
in seventh or forth house will destroy everything. He will be unlucky, if Sun is
inauspicious. Inauspicious Ketu will bring poverty, diseases and other problems, to him. He
will spend his life like a senseless robot, if Rahu is inauspicious. If Saturn is powerful, he
will be determined, progressive, enthusiastic and different from others.

REMEDIES: Donate goods pertaining Jupiter and Venus in temples, if the time is

unfavorable. Keep donating to Faqueer-Recluse or sadhu.  If somebody is dying, in front of
him, he should not move away from that place, without doing the needful; otherwise he will
not die comfortably.

JUPITER IN 9th HOUSE (BENEFICE):  The subject will be lucky, keep promises and

progress with the help of his father, religion and fate. He will become Yogi and master of
mysterious science, as he grows. His minimum life span will be 75 years. The elderly
people in his family will own extensive wealth at the time of his birth. He will have good
moral and character and knowledge of medicines. Hard work will make him more
prosperous. He will always abstain from liquor. He will do the work related to gold and will
become popular, because of his excellence. He either is a king or a Yogi, if Mercury is in
fourth or fifth house, respectively. Auspicious Sun will make him healthy, successful and
religious. Saturn in fifth house will enhance-boost the fate and brings lots of wealth but not
well for child related issues. Mercury in fourth will bring Raj-Yog. Saturn in fifth will bring
wealth from 36th year of age.

JUPITER IN 9th HOUSE (MALEFIC): One will be poor, atheist and irreligious. If first

house is empty, he will be unhealthy and may suffer from heart disease. If third and fifth
houses are empty, he has to perform hard work to enhance his own luck. The inauspicious
Mercury will bring short life span, poor luck and Mars will also become unfavorable.

REMEDIES: Visit temple every day. Do not drink liquor. Donate Mercury related goods
in school or immerse them in running water.

JUPITER IN 10th HOUSE (BENEFICE): One will be a self-made person and writer of

his own destiny. He will be unhappy, poor and disappointed, if follow the moral values-
virtues-ethics. His cleverness and smartness will only make him prosperous (-lack of
virtues, which one should never do at any cost). Mars or Venus in fourth house will prove
to be very auspicious. He will not hide his love relations. Saturn in second house is also
very auspicious for him. Sun in third or fifth house and Saturn in ninth house, he will earn
profit from trade in gold and silver but may incur some losses and fear from fire if he does
business related to Saturn. Sun in 1st, 4th or 5th house will be inauspicious for his grandfather.
Auspicious Mercury will result in birth of a male child and lots of profit. He will be happy
and responsible. He will do more than one marriages if Sun is in fifth house. If the Jupiter is
aspected by Saturn and Sun, he may face many fire mishaps. He will get profits gold, silver,
cloth trading etc., if Moon is in fourth house. He may get benefits from government. He
should never donate anything to beggars through his own hands. If Moon is also in tenth
house, work related to Saturn will be profitable.

JUPITER IN 10th HOUSE (MALEFIC): The subject will be in poor condition if Mercury

is in fourth house. He will be bad and poor man, if Saturn is in 1 st, 4th or 10th house. He will
be punished even if, does good job.

REMEDIES: One should clean his nose before starting any work. He should keep his head
covered, by wear a turban-pagri (-cap), put a yellow tilak (-adornment-ornamental-sectarian
mark on fore head) on the forehead. Immerse copper coin in running water for 40-43 days.
Keep yellow tilak on the forehead for 43 days (-if one desires he can keep the practice
throughout his life). Perform remedies pertaining to Ketu.

JUPITER IN 11th HOUSE (BENEFICE): The subject will be full of good qualities, kind,

religious, spend his life full of happiness, if remain intact with family. His father will be
wealthy but will not leave anything for him. He will get good results, if keep promises. He
will be progressive and gets profit, if work with brothers. If Mercury is auspicious, he will
be wealthy and writes its own destiny. If Saturn is also auspicious, he will become rich
without the help of father. Mars in third house is good for the prosperity of in-laws and self
but death of near and dear ones will upset him. If Saturn is in eleventh house, both Jupiter
and Saturn will give good result.

JUPITER IN 11th HOUSE (MALEFIC): One will be irreligious and he might be poor,

after the death of his father. He will get more inauspicious results if he loses his character.
Moon in first house will destroy him, due to jealousy. He will be unhappy even after having
good income, if Mercury is in third house. The inauspicious Mercury will make him selfish;
he will not let others have profits even if, he lives like a king.  If third house is empty, he
will be lucky, tall, kind and religious.

REMEDIES: Donate shroud. Do not miss the occasion of donating shroud. Perform

remedies for Saturn. Be religious. Do not drink liquor and do not eat non-vegetarian food.

JUPITER IN 12th HOUSE (BENEFICE):  One will do well even if somebody harms him.

He will become lucky by worshiping, Yog-physical exercise etc. He will get good results, if
he does good things to others. He will get benefits from work related to Saturn, if Saturn is
in fourth or ninth house. He will be rich and blessed with children, if Ketu is auspicious.

JUPITER IN 12th HOUSE (MALEFIC): The subject will spend money like anything. His
father may get some problem when he is 10. He will be irreligious and gets inauspicious
result. He will be long-lived but unlucky for others, if Mercury is inauspicious. If 2 nd, 8th,
9th and 10th houses are empty, he will not earn any profit even if, he is like a king. He will be
intelligent, but education will not be useful if, Rahu is in ninth or twelfth house. His father
may get problems-troubles till the age of 42. The inauspicious Jupiter makes him firm
believer of luck and children may not be able to progress due to this reason. [-Remember
that destiny is not everything].

REMEDIES: Worship Bhagwan Shiv, perform remedies for Moon. Keep the weights (-
used to weigh gold only), tied in a yellow cloth or with gold itself in the house.

GENERAL REMEDIES: One may wear  gold ornaments, yellow sapphire and yellow
clothes, especially on Thursdays. He has to observe fast on Thursdays and donate yellow
eatables-bannas, gram dal-pulse. The subject should clean his nose before starting work and
avoid sneezing. One should Water Peepal tree and making parikrama-walking around it, 7
to 9 times. Donate yellow clothes. One has to serve Brahmns, family priest, elders, Sadhu,
guru, elders. Donate happily to the needy-down trodden. Perform  Hari Bhajan-Kirtan-
Poojan-Katha.  One should apply saffron or turmeric apply the paste over
forehead. Provide coffin cloth to unclaimed body. Pilgrimage-visit temple.

REMEDIES FOR THE MALEFIC SUN

SUN IN THE 1st HOUSE (BENEFICE): One will be fond of constructing religious
buildings and digging of wells for public purposes, being religious by nature. He will have
permanent source of livelihood-most of which will come from the government. Money
earned from honest sources will keep multiplying. He will believe only his eyes, not in ears.

SUN IN THE 1st HOUSE (MALEFICE): His father may die in early childhood. Due to

the sex during the day, his wife will suffer from continued illness. She may suffer from
tuberculosis, if Venus is placed in the 7th house. Malefic sun in the 1st house and Mars in the
5th house will cause the death of his sons, one after the other. Similarly, the malefic Sun in
the 1st house and Saturn in the 8th house will cause the death of his wives, one after the
other. If there is no planet in the 7th house, marriage before 24th year, will prove lucky for
the native, otherwise the 24th year of the native would prove highly disastrous for him.

REMEDIES: Marry before 24th year of life. Don’t have sex with wife during the day.
Install a hand pump for drawing water in the ancestral house. Construct small dark room in
the left side at the end of the house. Either of the spouse must stop eating Gur-गुड़  i.e.,
jaggery.

SUN IN THE 2nd HOUSE (BENEFICE): The subject will be self-dependent, skilled in

handiwork and would prove highly helpful to parents, maternal uncles, sisters, daughters
and in-laws. The Sun in the 2 nd will become more auspicious, if Moon is placed in the
6th house. Ketu in the 8th house will make him very truthful. Rahu in the 9 th house makes him
a renowned artist or a painter. Ketu in the 9 th house makes him a great technician. Mars in
the 9th house makes him fashionable. His generous nature would put an end to growing
enemies.

SUN IN THE 2nd HOUSE (MALEFICE): The Sun will affect adversely, if the things and
relatives are associated with the planets inimical to the Sun i.e., wife, wealth, widows,
cows, taste, mother etc. Disputes regarding wealth-property and wife will spoil him. Never
accept donations, if the Moon is placed in the 8th house and the Sun in the 2nd.

REMEDIES: Donate coconut, mustard oil and almonds to religious places of worship.

Manage to avoid disputes involving wealth, property and ladies. Avoid accepting
donations, specially rice, silver and milk.

SUN IN THE 3rd HOUSE (BENEFICE): The subject will be rich, self-dependent and

having younger brothers. He will be blessed with divine grace and earn profits through
intellectual pursuits. He will be interested in astrology and mathematics. If the Sun is not
auspicious in the 3rd house and the Moon is also inauspicious in the horoscope. If the
9th house is afflicted, the forefathers would have been poor. If the 1 st house is afflicted, his
neighbours will be destroyed.

REMEDIES: Obtain blessings of the mother by keeping her happy. Serve others with rice
or milk. Practice good conduct and avoid evil deeds.
SUN IN THE 4th HOUSE (BENEFICE): The possessor will be wise, kind and a good
administrator. He will have constant source of income. He will leave a legacy of great
riches for his off springs after death. If the Moon is with the Sun in the 4 th house, he will
earn great profit through certain new researches. The Mercury in the 10 th or 4th house will
make such a native a renowned trader. If Jupiter is also with the Sun in the 4th house, he will
make good profits through gold and silver trade. He may become greedy, inclined to
commit theft and likes to harm others. This tendency ultimately produces very bad results.
If the Saturn is placed in the 7th house, he becomes victimized by night blindness. If the Sun
is inauspicious in the 7th house and Mars is placed in the 10 th house, his eyes will have
seriously defected, but his fortunes will not dwindle. He will become impotent if the Sun in
the 4th is inauspicious.

REMEDIES: Distribute alms and food to the needy people. Do not take up business
associated with iron and wood. Business associated with gold, silver, cloth will give very
good results.

SUN IN THE 5th HOUSE (BENEFICE): The progress and prosperity of family and

children will be assured. If the Mars is placed in the 1 st or 8th house and Rahu, Ketu, Saturn
are placed in 9th and 12th houses, one will lead king’s life. If the 5 th house is placed with any
planet inimical to sun, he will be bestowed honors by the government everywhere. If
Jupiter is placed in 9th or 12th house, the enemies will be destroyed, but this position will not
be good for children and the possessor himself. If the Sun in the 5th is inauspicious and
Jupiter is in 10th, his wife will die and wives in subsequent marriages will also die. If the
sun in the 5th house is inauspicious and Saturn is placed in 3rd, his sons will die.

REMEDIES: Do not delay in having a child. Build the kitchen in the eastern portion of the
house. Drop a little quantity of mustard oil over the ground, (-not the
floor) continuously for 43 days.

SUN IN THE  6th HOUSE (BENEFICE): One will be lucky, but prone to anger. He will
have beautiful spouse and will benefit from that government. If Sun is in the 6 th house and
Moon, Mars and Jupiter in the 2 nd house, following tradition will be beneficial. If sun is in
6th house and Ketu in 1st or 7th house then he will have a son and after the 48th year great
fortune will follow. His son and maternal family will face bad times. It will also affect his
health adversely. If there is a no planet in the 2nd house, he will get a government job in the
22nd year of his life. If Mars is placed in the 10 th house his sons will die one after the other.
Mercury in the 12th house causes high blood pressure.

REMEDIES: Ancestral customs and rituals should be strictly followed; otherwise the

family progress and happiness will be destroyed. Underground furnaces-bhatti should not
be constructed with in the premises of the house. After dinner, blow off the fire of the
kitchen stove by sprinkling milk over it. Always keep Ganga Jal in the premises of the
house. Offer wheat or Gur to monkeys.
SUN IN THE 7th HOUSE (BENEFICE): If Jupiter, Mars or Moon are placed in the
2nd house, one will occupy a ministerial position in the government. If the Mercury is
exalted or Mercury in the 5th or 7th house is aspected by Mars, he will have unending sources
of income. If the Sun is inauspicious in the 7 th house and Jupiter, Venus or any malefic
planet is placed in the 11th house and Mercury is malefic in any other house, he will
encounter the death of several members of his family together. Obstacles from the
government, diseases like tuberculosis and asthma will trouble him. Incidents of fire and
other family troubles will madden him who may go to the extent of becoming a recluse or
committing suicide. Never loss heart, always remember the Almighty. He is always with
us. Suicide is worst possible crime the punishment for which is suffering in the hell for
millions of years and there after the subject will take birth as an insect.

REMEDIES: Lessen the amount of salt intake. Start any work after taking a little sweet
with water. Offer a little piece of the bread-chapatti to the fire of the kitchen before taking
meals. Serving and rearing up a black cow or a cow without horns but make sure that the
cow is not white.

SUN IN THE 8th HOUSE (BENEFICE): Government favors will accrue from the 22nd year

of life. Here the Sun makes one truthful, saintly and king like. Nobody would be able to
harm him. Mercury in the 2nd house will create economic crisis. He will be short tempered,
impatient & will have ill health.

REMEDIES: Mercury in the 2nd house will create economic crisis. He will be short

tempered, impatient & will have ill health. One should learn to control anger-anguish. Have
patience.

SUN IN THE 9th HOUSE (BENEFICE):  Sun in 9th house is considered auspicious in

general. Sun in 9th house gives long life to the subject. He can go to any extent to help his
blood relatives and he will not even ask for any reciprocal support. He himself will also not
face any poverty in his life. The family of one will prosper after his birth. If the 4th house is
without any planet, he will be deprived of government favors and benefits. He may or may
not be a doctor but he will have the skills like a doctor to heal others. He will neither expect
nor accept any free help or donations from others. The seven generations of his family (-
3 predecessors and 3 successors) will be benefited after his birth. Sun in 9th house provides
good results related to siblings and children. His parents may be government employee or
may earn wealth through government. Benefits and favors from government, good health
and financially stronger. One will get a government job and comforts of vehicles and
servants. He will always be suspicious about others. If the Sun is in the 4 th house, his father
will die in his childhood. If the Sun is in the 10 th house and moon is in the 5th house he will
have a very short life.

REMEDIES: Never wear blue or black clothes. Immersion of a copper coin in a river or

canal for 43 years will be beneficial. Abstain from liquor and meat. Never accept any silver
articles in donation rather donate silver articles to others. He should not accept any free
help from others. He should not have either very hot temperament or very soft nature. He
should help his family members, brothers or sisters. He should keep some thick brass (-
पीतल Peetal) utensils at home.

SUN IN THE 10th HOUSE (BENEFICE):  When Sun is posited alone in 10th house, it

adversely affects the happiness of ancestral property and father. One may suffer from
defects of eye-sight and knees. If the subject adopts profession related to machinery, oil,
iron, wood, coal, general electronic items etc; it will give adverse effects and failures. If he
starts living at his in-laws house or become dependent on in-laws in any form, it will give
effects similar of solar eclipse in the horoscope. If he himself starts telling his character
defects to others or he proclaims his problems to others; he will badly suffer. If the he
makes arrangement for Sun light to come in his house from western wall or he lives next to
a house of a person, who is childless or he makes relationship with one-eyed person; Sun
will start giving adverse results. If he starts wearing black or blue clothes or he wears black

and it gets no support from other male planets like Jupiter or Mars and Moon is placed in

REMEDIES: One should never use black or blue clothes. He should not wear black or

should put copper coins in flowing water or flowing sewer lines continuously for a
minimum of 40 or maximum of 43 days without break. If he is running Saturn Maha-Dasha
or his father is suffering on some account, installing hand pump or extracting under-ground
water will solve the problems.

SUN IN THE 11th HOUSE (BENEFICE): If one is vegetarian he will have three sons and
will himself be head of the house and will get benefits from government. The Moon is in
the 5th house and the Sun is not aspected by good planets, the will have a short life span.

REMEDIES: Abstain from meat and wine. Keep almonds or radishes near the head of the
bed and offer it in the temple next day for long life and children.

SUN IN THE 12th HOUSE (BENEFICE): If Ketu in the 2nd house one will earn wealth

the monkeys. One should feed ants with rice/sesame in late evening. It’s helpful to fix-
insert copper nails  in wood of the bed.  One may perform Hawan-Agni Hotr and offer food

REMEDIES FOR THE MELEFICE FOR MARS

Mars got birth when, a drop of sweat from the forehead of Bhagwan Shiv fall over the
earth. This red planet, son of Earth, is indeed considered to be a dreaded one. Though it’s
called MANGAL, yet, it always intends-inclined to do AMANGAL OF THE
POSSESSOR. It’s considered to be an aggressive nature planet. It’s a dry, red and fiery
planet. Masculine by nature, it signifies energy, both constructive and destructive
depending upon its position as Mars positive and Mars negative.

The 3rd house is considered the house of Mars. It is the lord of Aries and Capricorn. It is
exalted in Capricorn and debilitated in Cancer. It is a friend of Sun, Moon and Jupiter and it
is neutral with Venus, Saturn and Rahu. Mars is hostile towards Mercury and Ketu. In the
birth-chart, when Sun is combined with Mercury, Mars give benefice results. It has a
neutral relationship with Sun but when Sun is combined with Saturn, it may have malefic
effects. When Rahu aspects Mars in the birth-chart, it will be inauspicious.

INAUSPICIOUS MARS: One may suffer from troubles caused during the birth of child
when Mars is inauspicious. The child may also suffer from health disorders after his birth.

An inauspicious Mars may also cause pain in the joints.

MARS IN 4th HOUSE: The 4th house is overall the property of Moon. The fire and heat of
Mars in this house burns the cold water of Moon i.e., the properties of the Moon are
adversely affected. He loses peace of mind and suffers from jealousy to others. He always
misbehaves with his younger brothers. His evil mission gets strong destructive powers.
Such a person affects the life of his mother, wife, mother-in-law etc., very adversely. His
anger becomes the cause of his overall destruction in various aspects of life.

REMEDIES: If Mars is malefic in the 4th house of the birth-chart, he should observe fast
on Tuesdays and distribute laddoo and boondi as prasad.  Offer sweet milk to the roots of a
banyan tree and put that wet soil on his navel. To avoid havoc from fire, place empty bags
of sugar on the roof of his house, shop or factory. Always keep a square piece of silver.
Keep away from black, one-eyed or disabled person.

MARS IN 5th HOUSE: The 5th house belongs to the Sun, who is a natural friend of Mars.
Hence Mars ensures very good results in this house. The sons of the subject become
instruments of wealth and fame for him. His prosperity increases manifold after the birth of
sons. The things and relatives represented by Venus and Moon will prove beneficial in
every manner. Someone of his forefathers must have been a doctor or Vaidy-
Ayurved practitioner. His prosperity will continue to grow more and more with the growth
in age. But romance and emotional affairs with the opposite sex will prove highly
disastrous for him, which will destroy his mental peace and night sleep too.

REMEDIES: To reduce the malefic effects of Mars in the 5th house, he should keep a mug
filled with water beside his pillow in the night and in the morning cast it in a clean and nice
place where it is not insulted.  Maintain a good moral character. Keep water in a pot below
the head side of the bed at night and drop it in a flower pot in the morning. Offer Shraddha-
respect-honor to the ancestors and plant a Neem tree in the house.

MARS IN 6th HOUSE: This house belongs to Mercury and Ketu. Both are mutual enemies
and inimical to Mars also. Hence Mars in this house will keep himself away from both. One
will be courageous, adventurous, lover of justice and powerful enough to set fire into water.
He will be highly benefited by the trade and business associated with Mercury. His pen will
wield more power than the sword. If Sun, Saturn and Mars are placed together in one
house, the brothers, mother, sisters and wife will be affected very adversely.

REMEDIES:  He should also adopt remedies for Saturn when Mars is malefic in the
6th house. Distribute salt in place of sweets on the birth of a male child. His brothers should
keep him happy by offering him something or the other for their protection and prosperity.
But if he does not accept such things, the same should be thrown in water. His male
children should not wear gold. Adopt remedies of Saturn for family comfort. Worship
Ganesh Ji for parents’ health and destruction of enemies.

MARS IN 7th HOUSE: This house belongs to the influences of Venus and Mercury, who
combined together provide the effect of Sun. If Mars is placed therein, the 7th house will be
affected by Sun and Mars both, which ensures that his ambition will be fulfilled. Wealth,
property and family will increase. But if Mercury is also placed here along with Mars, very
adverse results will follow regarding the things and relations represented by Mercury e.g.,
sister, sister-in-law, nurses, maid servant, parrot, goats etc. Hence it would be better to keep
away from them.
REMEDIES:  When malefic Mars is in the 7th house, keeping solid silver at home is
benefice.

Place solid piece of silver in the house for prosperity. Always offer sweets to daughter,
sister, sister-in-law and widows. Repeatedly build a small wall and destroy it.

MARS IN 8th HOUSE: The 8th house belongs to Mars and Saturn, who jointly influence the
properties of this house. No planet is considered good in this house. Mars here affects very
adversely the younger brothers of the subject. He sticks to commitments made by him
without caring for profit or loss.

REMEDIES:  In the 8th house, the person should make sweet chapati-roti in tandoor-oven
and feed them to the dogs for 43 days. Obtain blessings of widows and wear a silver chain.
Offer sweet loaves of bread prepared on Tandoor for the dogs. Take the meals in the
kitchen. Build a small dark room at the end of the house and do not allow sun light to enter
in it. Offer rice, jaggery and gram pulse at religious places of worship. Fill an earthen pot
with ‘Deshi Khand-raw sugar’ and bury it, near a cremation ground.

MARS IN 9th HOUSE: This house belongs to Jupiter, a friend of Mars. Mars placed in this
house will prove good in every manner to the possessor by virtue of the help and blessings
of the elders. His brother’s wife proves very fortunate for him. Generally, he will have as
many brothers as his father had. Living with brothers in a joint family, will enhance all
round happiness. He will gain a highly prestigious administrative post up to the 28 th year of
his age. He may earn huge profits in the trade of goods associated with warfare.

REMEDIES: He should hang a piece of square shaped silver on the door in the south
direction, if the Mars is malefic in the 9 th house. He should be obedient to his elder brother.
He should serve his sister in law-Bhabhi-brother’s wife. Do not become an atheist and
follow the traditional customs and rituals. Offer rice, milk and jaggery at religious places of
worship.

MARS IN 10th HOUSE: This is the best position of Mars in a horoscope, the place of his
exaltation. If the subject is born in a poor family, his family will become rich and affluent
after his birth. If he is born in a rich family, his family will grow richer and richer after his
birth. If he is the eldest brother, he will gain a more distinct recognition and reputation in
society. He will be bold, courageous, healthy and competent enough to set traditions, norms
and rules in society.

However, if malefic planets Rahu, Ketu and Saturn or Venus and Moon are placed in the
2nd house, the aforesaid beneficial effects are reduced. Further, if a friendly planet is placed

gold of the house. Keep a pet deer in the house. While boiling milk, ensure that it should
not overflow and fall on the fire. Offer help to one-eyed and childless persons.

MARS IN 11th HOUSE: Mars gives good results in this house, because this house is
influenced by Jupiter and Saturn. If Jupiter is in exalted position, Mars gives very good
results. The subject is courageous and just and usually a trader.

REMEDIES: Presence of Mars in the 11th house is benefice, if the person rears a dog. One
should never sell one’s ancestral property. Keeping Sindoor or honey in an earthen pot will
give good results.

MARS IN 12th HOUSE: This house is inhabited by Jupiter, so now both Mars and Jupiter
will give good results. This is also considered as the Pukka Ghar-own house of Rahu, so
now Rahu will not trouble him notwithstanding its position in his horoscope.

REMEDIES: Mars will not give its malefic effects in the 12 th house if the person place rice
made of silver in his house. Take honey in the morning. Eating sweets and offering sweets
to another person will increase his wealth.

GENERAL REMEDIES: According to Lal Kitab, one should wear gold ornaments in

order to minimize the inauspicious effects of Mars. Keep a square piece of silver with him
to reduce the inauspicious results of Mars in the Kundali. He may also wear a ring made of
gold, silver and copper.He should wear coral in gold or copper ring. He should not tell lies
to anyone. This will create good circumstances for him everywhere. He should set afloat
chana dal in a river to minimize the inauspicious results of Mars. Also, set afloat rewri-
रे वड़ी or batase-बताशे in flowing water. He should put a saffron tilak on his forehead. He
should cooperate with his friends and brothers, if Mars is inauspicious in his Kundali. He
should try to maintain good relations with his brothers. One should honor-regard and look
after his siblings. Involve himself in donations and charities. He should show compassion
and care towards others.  Pour-offer water added with milk in  the roots of a banyan tree.
Do not get into fights or arguments and try to be polite with others. Don’t consume alcohol,
eggs or meat, when Mars is inauspicious in the Kundali. Take blessings from young girls-
KANYA-कन्या. Give sweets to his cousin sisters or aunts, before they leave his
house. Offer chana dal, rice and jaggery in a temple. He can also offer a mixture of milk
and rice. Feed a sweet roti-bread-रोटी or biscuit to a dog. The subject should observe fast on
Tuesdays. Planting a neem tree, slightly away from home by the side of the road and water
it regularly, till it grows.  It’s always helpful if the sufferer recite Gayatri mantr and
Hanuman Chalisa. One may donate sugar cakes-jaggery/sugar-sesame balls in a
temple. One should serve sweet food to the guests. One can keep red lentils by bedside and
give it to sweeper-scavenger (- un domestic)  or immerse it in flowing water in the
morning. To strengthen Mars in his Kundali, he should keep an elephant tusk at his home.
REMEDIES FOR THE MALEFIC OF MOON

MOON IN 1st HOUSE: The 1st house belongs to Mars and Sun. When the moon is placed
here, this house comes under the combined influences of the Mars, the Sun and the Moon
i.e., all the 3 mutual friends, will be treated as occupants of this house. The Sun and Mars
will extend all friendly support to their natural friend Moon, placed on the throne i.e., the
ascendant house.

The subject will be kind-hearted and inherit all the traits and qualities of his mother. He
will be either the eldest brother or will certainly be treated so. As long as he receives the
blessings of his mother and keeps her happy, he will continue to rise and prosper in life.
The objects, events and the relatives as represented by Mercury, who are inimical to Moon,
will prove harmful to him, e.g., the sister-in-law and green color will affect him adversely.
He should keep off from them. Converting milk into condensed form-Khoya (-खोया) or

the roots of a Banyan (-बरगद) tree regularly, if possible. He should insert copper nails in
the four legs of the bed. He should immerse coins in the river, whenever and whenever he
happens to cross it, for the welfare of his children. Always keep a silver Thali-(-थाली,
थाल ) big plate in the house. He should use Silver pots for drinking water or milk and avoid
glassware for this purpose.

 MOON IN 2nd HOUSE: When the Moon is placed here, it will be influenced by Jupiter,

Venus and the Moon, because this is the Puckka (-पक्का घर) Ghar-the permanent house-
own abode of Jupiter and Venus is the lord of the second Rashi(-राशि)-constellation Taurus.
The Moon gives good results in this house, as it becomes strong here, because of the
friendly support of Jupiter against Venus. The subject may not have sisters, but will
certainly have brothers or brother in laws. He will receive his due share in parental
properties. Whatever may be the planetary chart, presence of Moon here, will ensure male
offspring to him. He will receive good education, which will add to his fortune. The
Business associated with the goods related to Moon will prove advantageous. He may
become a reputed teacher. The Ketu placed in the 12th house will eclipse the Moon here,
which will deprive him either of good education or male child.

REMEDIES: If the house of the subject is located in the vicinity of a place of worship, he
may be deprived of a son. The things associated with the Moon, i.e., silver, rice, non-
cemented floor of the house, the blessings of his mother and old women will prove

MOON IN 3rd HOUSE: The results of the 3rd house, when the Moon is placed here, will be
influenced by the Mars, Mercury and Moon. Here the Moon proves beneficial to ensure a
long life and wealth-riches for the subject. If there are no planets in the 9 th and 11th houses,
Mars and Venus will give good results to him, because of the Moon being in the 3 rd house.
Economic condition of his father will deteriorate for supporting his higher education. If
Ketu’s placing in the horoscope is auspicious and does not harm the Moon in the 3 rd house,
his education will bear fruits and prove advantageous in every manner. If the Moon is
malefic, it will cause  loss of wealth and money as and when the planet is malefic, placed in
the 9th house.

REMEDIES: Donate goods associated with Moon, e.g., silver or rice, after the birth of a
daughter and goods associated with the Sun e.g., wheat and jaggery, when a son is born.
Don’t make use of daughter’s money and wealth. To avoid the evil effects of a malefic
planet in the 8th house, serve the guests and others by offering them milk and water freely.
One should worship Maan Durga and obtaining the blessings of small girls (-kanya कन्या)
by touching their feet after serving them food, sweets and gifts.

MOON IN 4th HOUSE: Moon is the permanent resident of the 4th House-Constellation-

Rashi-Cancer. Moon is very powerful here and helps the subject in every possible manner.
Events and objects related with Moon will help. The 4 th house is the source of income,
which may boost expenditure and vice versa. The subject will be a reputed and honored
person with soft-kind heart and blessed with all sorts of riches. He will inherit all the traits

filled with milk in the house. For warding off the evil generated by the Jupiter placed in the
10th house, he should visit places of worship-pilgrimage, along with his grandfather and
offer oblations by placing their forehead at the feet of the deity.

MOON IN 5th HOUSE: The results of the 5th house, when the Moon is placed here, will be
influenced by the Sun, Ketu and the Moon. The subject will adopt just and right means to
earn wealth and will not yield to wrong doing-pressure. He may not do well in business but
certainly receive favors and honors from the government. Anyone supported by him will
win. The Moon in the 5th house will give 5 sons if, the Ketu is well placed and benefice;
even if, the Moon is joined by malefic planets. Through his education and learning he will
undertake several measures for the welfare of others, but others will not reciprocate his
gestures. He will be doomed if, he is greedy and selfish. He should not reveal his plans and
programs to any one unless-until they are ripe for implementation and the person is his
confident. If Moon be placed with 4 planets in the 4th house, he will be economically sound
and wealthy. The male planets will help him like sons and the female planets like
daughters.

REMEDIES: One should control his words-tongue and never use abusive language to
ward off troubles. Deceit and dishonesty towards others will affect him adversely. Seeking-
acting over the advice of another person (-a reliable person) before trying to take-initiate
action against the adversaries, will ensure good results and a life of about 100 years. He
should consult matured person or a lawyer. Public service will enhance his income and
reputation.

MOON IN 6th HOUSE: This house is affected by the Mercury and Ketu. The Moon in this
house will be affected by the planets placed in 2nd, 8th, 12th and 4th houses. The subject will
receive education with obstacles and will have to struggle a lot for reaping the benefits of
his educational achievements. If the Moon is placed in the 6th, 2nd, 4th, 8th and 12th houses, it is
auspicious. He would enliven a dying person by putting a few drops of water (-Ganga Jal,
गंगा जल) in his mouth. But if the Moon is malefic in the 6 th house and Mercury is placed in
the 2nd or 12th house, he will have suicidal tendencies. Similarly, if the Moon is malefic and

REMEDIES: The possessor should serve milk to his father with his own hands. Never
drink milk during night. He may consume milk, curd and cheese during the day-lunch. He
should not accept milk-tea-milk product offered by others. Digging of wells for public will
adversely affect his children, but digging of wells in a hospital or within the premises of
cremation ground, will not be harmful. He should abstain from this activity.

MOON IN 7th HOUSE: The 7th house belongs to Venus and Mercury. When the Moon is
placed here, the results of this house will be affected by the Venus, Mercury and Moon.
Venus and Mercury combined together give the effects of the Sun. The 1 st house aspects the
7th house. Consequently the rays of the Sun from the 1 st house would be enlightening the
Moon if, placed in the 7th, which means that the objects-events-the relatives, represented by
the Moon will provide beneficial results. Educational achievements will prove fruitful for
earning money or wealth. He may or may not have properties, but will certainly have
sufficient money as and when needed by him. He will have good potential to become a poet
or astrologer, or else he may be a characterless person and will have love for mysticism and
spiritualism. The 7th Moon also denotes conflict between his wife and mother and adversely
effects in trading milk. Disobedience towards mother, will lead to tensions and troubles.
REMEDIES: One should avoid marriage in the 24th year. He should try to keep his mother
happy. He should not sell milk or water for profit. He should not indulge in condensing
milk for making Khoya. He will be blessed if, his in laws give-offer him silver and rice
equal to the weight of his wife.

MOON IN 8th HOUSE: This house belongs to Mars and Saturn. The Moon here affects the
education of the possessor adversely, but if education goes well his mother’s life will
be adversely affected and very often such a person loses both-education and his mother.
However, the evil effects of the Moon in the 7 th house will be mitigated if, Jupiter and
Saturn are placed in the 2nd house. The 7th Moon often deprives him of his parental
properties. If there is a well or pond adjacent to his parental property, he will receive
adverse results of the Moon all through his life.

REMEDIES: One should not indulge in gambling and flirting. He should perform Shraddh
(-श्राद्ध) annual rights of his ancestors. He should not build any house by covering a well
with roof-he should avoid building basement in his house. He should obtain blessings of the
old men and girls-Kanya, by touching their feet. He should draw water from the well or
water tap situated within the boundaries of a cremation ground and place it within the
boundaries of his house. It will ward off all the evils generated by the Moon in the
7th house. He should offer gram and pulse in places of worship-feed monkeys with gram.

MOON IN 9th HOUSE: The 9th house belongs to Jupiter, who is a friend of Moon. Hence,

the subject will imbibe the traits and features of both these planets-good conduct and kind
heartedness, religious bent of mind and love for virtuous acts and pilgrimage. He will live
up to 75 years. A friendly planet in the 5th house will augment comforts and pleasures from
the son and develops intense interest in religious deeds. A friendly planet in the 3 rd house
ensures increase in wealth.

REMEDIES: Install the things associated with the Moon within the house, like place a
square piece of silver in the almirah (-अलमारी). Serve the labourers with milk. Offer milk
to snakes and rice to fish.

MOON IN 10th HOUSE: The 10th house is in every manner ruled by Saturn. This house is

aspected by the 4th house, which is similarly ruled by Moon. Hence the Moon in the
10th house ensures a long life of about 90 years, for the subject. Moon and Saturn are
inimical; therefore, medicines in liquid form will always prove harmful to him. The milk
will act as poison if, taken during night. If he is a medical practitioner, dry medicines
administered by him, to the patient will have a magical effect in curing them. As a surgeon,
he will earn name, fame and wealth. If the 2 nd and 4th houses are empty, money and wealth
will rain on him. If Saturn is placed in the 1 st house, his life will be destroyed by the
opposite sex, especially a widow. The things and business represented by Saturn, will prove
beneficial for him.
REMEDIES: Visits to religious places of worship-pilgrimage, will enhance the fortunes of
the subject. Storage of rain-river water (-Ganga Jal) will prove to be auspicious. It will
wash off the vices and evil effects generated by the Moon in the 10 th house. Avoid taking
milk during night. Neither Milch animals (-दध
ु ारू पश)ु  will not be able to survive for long in
his house, nor will they prove beneficial or auspicious for him. He should abstain from
wine, meat and adultery.

MOON IN 11th HOUSE: This house is strongly influenced by Jupiter and Saturn. Every

planet placed in this house will destroy its inimical planets and the things associated with
them. In this way the Moon here will destroy its enemy Ketu’s, related objects i.e., the sons
of the subject. Here the Moon will have to face the combined power of its enemies Saturn
and Ketu, which will weaken the Moon. If, Ketu is placed in the 4 th house, the life of the
subject’s mother will be endangered. The business associated with Mercury will also prove
harmful. Starting house construction or purchase of a house on Saturdays will strengthen
the Saturn (-Moon’s enemy), which will prove disastrous for him. Kanya Dan (-कन्या
दान gifts and cash given at the time of the marriage of the girls) after the midnight and
participating in any marriage ceremony on Fridays will damage his fortunes.

REMEDIES: Offer milk in Bhairo Mandir (-भैरों मन्दिर) and donate milk to others,

liberally. Ensure that the grandmother does not see her grandson. Heat up a piece of gold in
fire and put it in a glass of milk before drinking it. Throw 125 pieces of sweet (-Peda,
पेड़ा condensed milk) in a river.

MOON IN 12th HOUSE: This house belongs to Moon’s friend Jupiter. Here the Moon will
have good effects on Mars and the things associated with Mars, but it will harm its enemies
Mercury and Ketu and the things associated with them. Hence the business and things
associated with the house in which Mars is placed will provide beneficial effects. Similarly,
the business and things associated with the houses where Mercury and Ketu are placed, will
be damaged. The Moon in the 12th houses causes fear in the subjects mind, about numerous
unforeseen troubles and dangers and destroys his sleep and peace of mind. Ketu in the
4th house will become weak and affect his son and mother adversely.

REMEDIES: Wearing Gold in ears, drinking milk after inserting hot piece of gold in it and
visiting religious places of worship, will ward off the evils of the Moon in 12 th house and
also that of the Ketu in the 4th house. Never offer milk and food to sages-saints-sadhus. Do
not open a school, college or any other educational institute and do not help children in
obtaining education, free of cost.

GENERAL REMEDIES FOR THE MALEFIC OF MOON

One has to wear white pearl in silver-platinum ring. One should observe fast on Mondays
and recite Shiv Tandav Strotr [Find it on this blog]. One may worship Bhagwan Shiv  and
visit Amar Nath  (in Kashmir) shrine. One may insert Silver nails in the bed. One should
pour Milk or water in the roots of a kicker tree. It will be helpful if one service mother, her
mother-naani, grandmother, mother-in-law. One should built square water tank on roof
instead of round ones. The subject should drink milk-water in silver glass.  One may bathe
in running water, well, hand pump at home.  He may visit shrines located
in mountainous regions-like Char Dham, Amar Nath, Man Sarovar.. One might store hails
in the fridge and rice and silver at home. One should donate white colored goods to the
needy-Brahmns.

REMEDIES FOR THE MALEFIC OF RAHU-KETU

Rahu and Ketu are shadowy planets. Their movement is interlinked as the components of
one body. They are opposite to each other. La Kitab describes Saturn as a serpent and Rahu
and Ketu as its head and tail, respectively. As a node of moon, Rahu shall not provide
adverse results so long as 4th house or moon is not afflicted. It gives good results, when
Mars occupies 3rd and 12th houses or when Sun and Mercury are in 3 rd house or  when it’s
positioned in 4th house. Rahu further provides good results if placed together with Mercury
or aspected by it. Rahu offers highly beneficial effects if placed in houses earlier than
Saturn. Saturn becomes stronger and Rahu acts as his agent. Sun provides very good results
when Rahu is aspected by Saturn, but Rahu gives the effects of a debilitated planet when
Saturn is aspected by Rahu. Rahu gets exalted in 3 rd and 6th houses, whereas it gets
debilitated in 8th, 9th, and 11th houses. 12th house is its own house-abode and it proves highly
auspicious in 3rd, 4th, and 6th. Saturn, Mercury and Ketu are its friends, whereas Sun, Mars
and Venus are its enemies. Jupiter and moon are neutral to it. If Sun and Venus are placed
together in a horoscope, Rahu will generally provide adverse results. Similarly, Rahu will
provide bad results if Saturn and Sun are also combined in a horoscope. Here Mars will
also become Mars negative. If Ketu is placed in houses earlier than Rahu, Rahu will
provide adverse results, whereas Ketu’s effect would be zeroed.

RAHU IN IST HOUSE: 1st house is influenced by Mars and Sun, which is like a throne.
The planet in 1st house is considered to be the king of all planets.  The native will achieve a
position higher than indicated by its qualification and will obtain good results from
government. Rahu in this house would give the result of exalted Sun, but it will spoil the
fruits of the house in which Sun is placed. If Mars, Saturn and Ketu are weak, Rahu would
give bad results, otherwise it will give good results in 1 st house. If Rahu is malefic the
native should not accept electric equipment’s or blue/black clothes from his in-laws, else
his son could be affected adversely. Its malefic result too could last till the age of 42 years.

REMEDIES:  (1) Immerse lead balls/coconut in running water, (2) Wear silver ornaments
in the neck and (3) Soak barley in milk and offer in running water.

RAHU IN 2nd HOUSE: If Rahu is in benefice form in 2 nd house one gets money, prestige
and lives like a king. He will have a long life. 2 nd house is influenced by Jupiter and Venus.
If Jupiter is benefice one will live the early years of his life in comfort. If Rahu is malefic
the subject will be poor and have a bad family life and may suffer from intestinal disorders.
The subject may be killed by a weapon and is unable to save money. In the 10 th, 21st to
42nd years of his life, he loses wealth through theft etc.

REMEDIES: (1) Keep a silver ball in the pocket, (2) Wear things associated with Jupiter
like gold, wear yellow-saffron cloths, (3) Keep cordial relations with one’s mother and (4)
The subject should not accept electric equipment, from in-laws.

RAHU IN 3rd HOUSE: It is the own place-abode-position of Rahu. 3rd house belongs to

Mercury which is influenced by Mars. When Rahu is benefice the subject will enjoy great
wealth and a long life. He will be fearless and a loyal friend. He would be a clairvoyant-
able to see future in his dreams. He will never be issue less. He will be victorious over his
enemies; will never be under debt. He would leave behind property. 22 nd year of his life
would bring progress to him. However, if Rahu is malefic in 3rd house his brothers and
relatives would waste his money. His money once borrowed would never be returned. He
would have defective speech and would be an atheist. If Sun and Mercury are also there (in
3rd house) with Rahu then his sister would become a widow in 22nd or 32nd year of his life.

REMEDIES: (1) Never store ivory or goods made out-carved out of ivory, in the house.

RAHU IN 4th HOUSE: This house belongs to Moon, which is an enemy of Rahu. When

Rahu is benefice in this house the subject would be intelligent, wealthy and will spend
money on good things. Going on pilgrimage would be beneficial for him. If Venus is also
benefice then after marriage the native’s in-laws could also become rich and the native
would also benefit from them. When Moon is exalted one would become very rich and
would benefit from the works or relatives associated with Mercury. If Rahu is malefic and
the Moon is also weak then the subject will suffer from poverty and his mother would also
suffer. Collecting char coal, altering toilet, installing oven in the ground and alteration of
the roof in the house would be indicative of malefic.

REMEDIES: (1) Wear silver and (2) Immerse coriander/almonds in running water.

RAHU IN 5th HOUSE:  5th house belongs to Sun, which signifies male offspring. If Rahu is

benefice one will be rich, wise, enjoy good health. He would enjoy good income and good
progress. He would be a devout or philosopher. If Rahu is malefic it leads to abortions.
After the birth of a son, his wife’s health will suffer for twelve years. If Jupiter is also in
5th house father of the subject will be in trouble.

REMEDIES: (1) Have toy elephant made of silver in the house, (2) Abstain from wine,
non-vegetarianism and adultery and (3) Perform marriage rituals with wife again.

RAHU IN 6th HOUSE:  This house is influenced by Mercury or Ketu. Here Rahu is

exalted and gives very good results. One will be free from tensions. He will spend money
on clothes. He will be intelligent and victorious. When Rahu is malefic he will harm his
brothers or friends. When Mercury or Mars is in 12th house, Rahu gives bad result. The
subject suffers from various ailments or loss of wealth. Sneezing, while moving out would
give bad results.

REMEDIES: (1) Keep a black dog; (2) Put a lead nail in the pocket and (3) One should not
harm brothers/sisters.

RAHU IN 7th HOUSE: While the subject will be rich, his wife would undergo suffering.
He would be victorious over his enemies. Marriage before acquiring the age of twenty one
years would be inauspicious. He would face adversaries from government servants. He
would suffer losses if he deals in electrical equipment. Subject would suffer from head ache
if Mercury, Venus or Ketu is in 11th house His sister, wife or son would destroy him.

REMEDIES:  (1) Never marry before 21st year of age and (2) Immerse six coconuts in
river.

RAHU IN 8th HOUSE: 8th house is connected to Saturn and Mars. Rahu in this house gives
malefic effect. The subject would spend money uselessly in court cases. His family life
would be adversely affected. If Mars is benefice and is placed in 1st or 8th house or Saturn (-
benefice) is placed in 8th house, the native will be very rich.

REMEDIES: (1) Keep a square piece of silver, (2) While sleeping Saunf should be keep
under the pillow and (3) One should not work in electricity or power department.

RAHU IN 9th HOUSE: 9th house is influenced by Jupiter. If the native has good relation

with ones brothers and sisters, it is fruitful; else it would be adversely affecting the subject.
If one is not religious, his progeny would be useless for him. Professions influenced by
Saturn would be profitable. If Jupiter is in 5th or 11th house then it is useless. If Rahu is
inauspicious in 9th house then chances of begetting a son are less, especially if one files
court cases against his blood relation. If Rahu is in 9 th and the 1st house is empty then
subject’s health would be adversely affected and he gets insulted and faces mental
problems, especially from elders.

REMEDIES: (1) Mark saffron Tilak on the forehead every day, (2) Wear gold ornaments,
(3) Always keep a dog (-it protects one from progeny) and  (4) Have good relations with in-
laws.

RAHU IN 10th HOUSE: Keeping one’s head uncovered gives the effect of a debilitated

Rahu in 10th house. The good or bad result of Rahu would depend upon Saturn’s position. If
Saturn is auspicious the subject would be brave, long lived and rich and get respect from all
quarters. If Rahu is in 10th house with Moon, it makes Raj Yog. One is lucky from his
father’s side. If Rahu in present in the 10 th house, it’s malefic and adversely affect, one’s
mother or his own health. If Moon is alone in 4 th house then native’s eyes are adversely
affected. He suffers from headaches and there is loss of wealth, due to a dark complexioned
person.
REMEDIES:  (1) Use blue or black cap, (2) One should cover his head, (3) Immerse
Khand either in running water or donate it to the temple and (4) Feed blind people.

RAHU IN 11th HOUSE: 11th house is influenced by both Saturn and Jupiter. Subject would

be rich as long as his father is alive. Alternatively, establishing things of Jupiter would help.
One has wicked friends. He gets money from mean people. After the death of his father he
should wear gold chain. If Mars is malefic for one with Rahu in 11 th at the time of his birth,
there is everything in his house, which may be destroyed later. If Rahu in 11 th house is
malefic then he has strained relations with his father. He may kill him. Planet in 2nd house
would act as enemy. If Jupiter/Saturn is in 3rd or 11th house then wear iron on the body and
drink water in a silver glass. If Ketu is in 5 th house then Ketu gives bad results. There may
be diseases of ear, spine, urinary problems etc. There may be losses associated with
business concerned with Ketu.

REMEDIES:  (1) Wear iron ring in Saturn finger,(2) Use silver glass for drinking water,
(3) Never take any electric equipment as a gift and (4) Do not keep blue sapphire, ivory or
toys in the shape of an elephant.

RAHU IN 12th HOUSE: 12th house belongs to Jupiter. It signifies bedroom. Rahu here

gives mental troubles, insomnia. It also leads to excessive expenditure on sisters and
daughters. If Rahu is with its enemies, it becomes next to impossible to make both ends
meet, despite hard labour. It also leads to false allegations. One may even go to the extreme
of contemplating suicide. One has mental worries. Telling lies, deceiving others etc. may
make Rahu even more malefic. If somebody sneezes at the start of any new work if gives
malefic effect. There may be theft, diseases or false allegations. If Mars is with Rahu here,
then it gives good results.

REMEDIES:  (1) Take meals in the kitchen itself, (2) Keep Saunf and Khand (-raw sugar)
under the pillow for good night’s sleep and (3) Always respect the parents, elderly and
saints-sages.

REMEDIES FOR MALEFIC SATURN

Saturn, Mars, Rahu and Ketu are recognised as malefic planets. They will have some
malefic aspects with respect to some areas in one’s life. One should resort to Yantr-यंत्र,
Kavach-कवच, Mantr-मन्त्र and Prayers-प्रार्थना, or elaborate Yagy-यज्ञ, Agnihotr-Hawan,
asceticism, Dhyan-Samadhi-meditation.

Saturn Yantr, can be used by everybody at all time in their life.

Hanuman Kavach to protect oneself during Sade Sati (-7.5 years cycle of Saturn).
A combination of Saturn Yantr and Moon Yantr can be a potent protection against Sade
Sati or against 8th house or 4th house transit of Saturn.

A combination of Hanuman Kavach and Saturn Yantr is very effective, if there is a

combination of Saturn and Mars conjoined in one sign in a person’s chart. This will be
more so, if one of them or both are debilitated and retrograde in the natal chart, or the
combination makes the chart Mangalik-मांगलिक.

The name mantra for Saturn is OM SHANESHAWRAY NAMO NAMAH-ॐ शनैश्वराय

नमो नमः. The seed mantra for Saturn is OM SHAM, pronounced as Shum. Regular
chanting of the Mantr for Saturn every day with devotion and faith will provide protection.

Worship of Bhagwan Shiv Maan Kali to seek protection.

One should change his life style. Saturn requires self-discipline, renunciation, surrender,
detachment, objectivity and performing good karma regularly.

These Karmic expiation like prayer, atonement, chanting of Mantra, worship of the deity,
and also giving to deserving charity based on one’s ability will definitely cleanse the
influence of a negative Saturn in one’s life.

PRAYER: Dressed in blue, dark blue in color, who has four arms, the son of the Sun,
who appears fearful, whose nature is peaceful, whose vehicle is an ox, who moves slow,
who carries a trident, bow and mace in his hands, with a blue sapphire crest jewel on his
head, making the gesture that gives boons, may Divine Saturn ever grant his grace.

As the slowest moving planet and the chief signification for longevity, Saturn is a barren,
binding, cold, dry, hard, defensive and secretive planet. Its effects and influences are felt
with greater intensity and for longer periods than any other planet. Saturn is considered to
be very favorable for people born in the signs owned by Venus, whereas Saturn is evil to
those born in the signs owned by Mercury.

Saturn is described as a serpent, whose head or mouth is Rahu and Ketu is its tail. If Ketu is
posited in earlier houses than Saturn, the latter becomes a great benefice for the possessor.
However, if the position is otherwise, the Saturn throws highest poisonous results over him.
Further, Saturn never gives malefic effects if posited in houses of Jupiter i.e. 2nd, 5th, 9th or
12th, whereas Jupiter provides bad results, if posited in the house of Saturn.

the 1st house is the house of its debilitation. Venus and Jupiter placed together, act like
Saturn in that house. Similarly, Mars and Mercury placed in a single house act like Saturn,
in that house. In the former case Saturn behaves like Ketu, while in the latter case, it
behaves like Rahu.

Venus gets destroyed, if Saturn is being aspected by the Sun in any horoscope. The aspect
of Venus on Saturn causes loss of money and wealth, but the aspect of Saturn on Venus
proves highly beneficial. Collision of Saturn and Moon causes operation of the eyes of the
subject. Saturn gives good results, if posited in house earlier than Sun.

Saturn can never give malefic results, if posited with Sun or Jupiter in a single house, but
highly adverse results would follow, if posited with Moon or Mars in any house. Saturn
releases its poisonous results, on the sign and Mars, if it is posited in 1 st house, on Mars
only if posited in 3rd house, on moon if posited in 4th house, on sun if posited in 5th house,
and on Mars in posited in 3 rd house. Saturn in 3rd house deprives the subject of the
accumulation of cash money and kills his children, when posited in 5th house and 10th house
is empty. It becomes highly benefice in 12th house if friendly planets are posited in
2nd house. Saturn provides very good results if placed in houses 1st to 7th on the condition
that 10th house is empty. Saturn in 1st house and sun in 7th, 10th or 11th houses causes all sorts
of troubles for his wife. Combination of Mars and Saturn gives adverse results all through.

SATURN IN 1st HOUSE–ARIES: 1st house is influenced by Sun and Mars. Saturn in

1st house will give good results only when 3rd, 7th or 10th houses are not inhabited by any
planet which is inimical to Saturn. If Mercury or Venus, Rahu or Ketu is in 7 thhouse, Saturn
will always give good results. In case Saturn is malefic and the subject has a hairy body, he
will remain poor. If he celebrates his birthday, it will give adverse results. He may be
blessed with long life.

REMEDIES:  Abstinence from alcohol and non-vegetarian meals. Burying Surma-सुरमा 

in the ground will be beneficial for promotion in service and business. Serving monkey will
lead to prosperity. Offering sweet milk to the roots of a banyan tree will give good results
as regards education and health.

SATURN IN 2nd HOUSE-TAURUS: The subject will be wise, kind and just. He will enjoy
wealth and will be of religious temperament. However, whether Saturn is benefice or
malefic in this house, it will be decided by the planets placed in 8 thhouse. The state of
finance of the subject will be decided by 7th house, the number of male members in the
family by 6th house and age by 8th house. When Saturn is malefic in this house, after his
marriage, his in laws will face problems.

REMEDIES: One is advised to visit temple for forty three days and put a tilak of curd or
milk on the forehead in addition to offering milk to snake.

SATURN IN 3rd HOUSE-GEMINI: In this house Saturn gives good results. This house is
the Pukka Ghar-own house of Mars. When Ketu aspects this house or is placed here, Saturn
will give good results. The subject will be healthy, wise and very intuitive. If he is wealthy
he will have few male members in the family and vice versa. As long as he abstains from
wine and non-vegetarianism, he will enjoy a long and healthy life.

REMEDIES: Serve three black dogs with wheat flour. Distribute free eye medicines to the
needy-poor. Keeping a dark room in the house-normally in South direction, may prove
beneficial.

SATURN IN 4th HOUSE-CANCER: This house belongs to Moon. So, it will give mixed

results in this house. The subject will be devoted to his parents and will be of loving nature.
Whenever he suffers from bad health, the use of things associated with Saturn will give
good results. Someone in family may be associated with medical profession.

When Saturn is malefic in this house drinking wine, killing of snakes and laying the
foundation of the house at night, will give adverse results. Drinking milk in the night, will
also bad results.

REMEDIES: The subject should offer milk to snake and offer milk or rice to crow
or buffaloes. Pour milk in the well. Pouring rum-wine, in running water, may also be
beneficial.

SATURN IN 5th HOUSE-LEO: This house belongs to Sun, which is inimical to Saturn.

The possessor will be egoistic-proudy by nature. He should not construct a house till
48thyears, otherwise his son will suffer. He should live in the house bought or constructed
by his son. He should keep articles pertaining-connected to Jupiter and Mars in his
ancestral house for welfare of his children. If he has hairy body, he will be dishonest.

REMEDIES: One should distribute salted eatables, while celebrating his son’s birthday.
He should offer almonds in the temple and keep the almonds obtained by virtue of prashad
in the chest-safe in the house.

SATURN IN 6th HOUSE-VIRGO: If the work related to Saturn is done at night it will

always give beneficial results. When marriage takes place after 28th years, it will produce
good results.  When Ketu is well placed the subject will enjoy wealth, profitable journey
and happiness from children. When Saturn is malefic bringing things associated with
Saturn, like leather and things of iron, will give bad results, especially when Saturn is in
6th house in Varsh Fal-annual chart.

REMEDIES: Serving a black dog and offering meals to it. Immerse coconut and almonds
in the running water. Serving snakes will prove advantageous for the welfare of the
subject’s children.

SATURN IN 7th HOUSE-LIBRA: This house is influenced by Mercury and Venus, both

friends of Saturn. So this planet gives very good results in this house. The professions
associated with Saturn, like machinery and iron, will be very profitable. If one maintains
good relation with his wife, he will be rich and prosperous; will enjoy a long life and good
health. If Jupiter is in 1st house, there will be gain from government.

Saturn becomes malefic if the possessor commits adultery and drinks wine. If he gets
married after 22 years, his eyesight will be affected adversely.

REMEDIES: One should bury a flute filled with sugar, in a deserted place and serve black
cows.

SATURN IN 8th HOUSE-SCORPIO: In 8th house no planet is considered

GENERAL REMEDIES FOR PROPITIATION OF MALEFIC VENUS:

Shukr Mantr: The subject should take a bath and wear washed white colored cloths,
before chanting the Mantr with proper rhyme-rhythm. Ignite incense sticks-dhoop-gugal
while performing prayers-recitation. Mouth should be properly rinsed-cleaned. Recite
Shukr Mantr: (I) Om Shukray Namah. (II) Om Shukray Namo Namah. (III) Om Jayanti
Mangla Kali Bhadr Kali Kapalini Durga Kshma Shiva Dhatri Swaha Swadha Namostute.
(Swaha, fat swaha, namh, and namo namh, may be added with the Mantr.)  One may chant
the Mantr during inauspicious transit of Venus. The subject should chant it, every day
especially, on Fridays to reduce negative impact of the planet, 108 times every day, either
in the morning or evening, along with Sandhya. If the astral chart is
indicating MARKESH (-मारकेश ), one should perform Sat Chandi Path (-सत चण्डी पाठ) in
addition to recitation-singing of Maha Mratunjay Mantr 108 times, every day regularly.
Laxmi Narayan Hrday Path may also show desired results. It will help one in reducing

Seek blessings of the mother-elders-Guru regularly. Be loyal to the spouse or loved

ones. One should look after  the old people-patients-suffering one, in need.
One should wear diamond set in gold or silver ring, touching the skin in middle finger on
Friday, after washing it with milk and water-Ganga Jal and performing rituals-prayers-
puja. Wearing of silver/platinum ornaments may also help.

Always keep a square shaped piece of Silver in the wallet-safe-chest.

Boil big cardamom in the water and mix it in water for bathing.

Wear or keep at home Shukr planets talisman.

Trade in the goods-articles related-pertaining to Venus, like: Silk, silver, gold, rice,
perfumes, milk products etc.

One should feed black colored cow as and when possible and offer a part of the food to
the cows. One should feed cows and donate  cow along with calf to Brahmn.
