    SELF - CONCEPT
    A. Given the chance to describe yourself, look for an object that will
    say something about you and your story.
    I would best describe myself as a highlighter, for I like to be as someone who
    brightens and bring colour to their day. I love to change the mood of people, especially
    when they are with me. Like a highlighter, I don’t want things dull but rather I like things
    to be as fun and exciting as possible. I want to associate myself with others by means of
    making jokes, telling stories, and most especially by sharing my thoughts.

    Ever since I was a child, my parents would always tell me that I am their “pabibo”
    child, just like a highlighter, I want to be given importance and value, I always want to be
    different and excel in the things that I do. As the youngest among my siblings, I am their
    ray of sunshine, I want them to feel the love and comfort that I bring whenever they are
    with me. Just like a highlighter, I am a person who values important details, they actually
    call me as a sentimental type of person, for I value memories and things. As a usual
    function of a highlighter, it gives importance to text that you want to remember and be
    known, and as a sentimental person, I like to keep and treasure memories especially when
    I’m with friends and family.

    A highlighter can also be defined in the context of make-up, which is a product that
    points out the dimensions of your face, and makes your face bloom and shine. Just like
    who I am, I want to try new things, achieve things, and learn from things to help me
    bloom and shine as a person. To me, a highlighter is more than its function, it is an object
    that gives definition and value to our simple and dull life. Many would say that “keep it
    simple”, and I dare to disagree, because as an individual let us embrace changes and
    explore new things because we never know that those things can make our old simple self
    into a renewed and bright self.
