IMTH-COVID 19 Hostel Protocol
For Students in the Campus (to be read in conjunction with SOP issued on 22 May 2020)
1. Student Return to Campus
Staggered Entry Protocol – Your stay in the campus shall be on self disciplined self
regulatory for your own and other’s safety.
a. Only those students who meet all the given criteria will be allowed to come to campus
I. Students are advised to bring RTPCR -ve (negative) test report (tested within 96
hours prior to arriving in the campus)
II. All students will undertake a mandatory RTPCR test immediately after the
quarantine period. All expenses related to the test will be borne by the student.
III. All students will be quarantined for a period of up to 14 days from the date of
arrival on campus.
I. If you commute by four-wheeler sit diagonally to the driver and maintain social
distance
II. It is recommended to use private vehicle to get dropped to Airport/campus
III. Always wear mask and face shield when you move out of your home/location
IV. Carry your own mask, face shield and sanitizer
V. Keep social distancing (2 meter) during your travel with everyone.
Key Points:
I. Before putting the mask wash hands with soap and water; make sure it
covers your nose and mouth without any gap; Do not have the mask hanging
on your neck; avoid touching the mask in use.
II. Avoid touching your face "Eyes, Nose, Mouth are the entry ports for the virus"
III. Sanitize your hands after you move out of cab/car
IV. Install Arogya Setu-App at least 15 days prior to travel and monitor the same

d. On Arrival- Gate formalities: Wait & proceed Don't rush, Be patient
I. Strictly keep 2 meter distance between others, when you are approaching security at
main gate
II. Get your body temperature scanned
III. Collect the keys to your allotted room and move to respective room without
interacting with others.

Healthcare/Emergency Protocol
I. Masks are to be mandatorily worn appropriately once students' step outside
hostel rooms. Refusal to wear will invite strict penalty including asking the student
to go back home.
II. Isolation rooms will be made available for cases tested positive for COVID-19.
III. Ambulance will be available round the clock for emergency cases.
IV. Pulse Ox-meters will be available.
V. Doctor will be available (in-person or virtual) for providing treatment.
VI. Whenever a student shows symptoms, students will be sent to Isolation room
and assessed by the Institute Doctor. Upon recommendation, student may have
to go for COVID-19 testing.
• If a student tests positive, he/she will be sent to the Isolation room (in
case of Asymptomatic), or in Hospital (in case of mild/severe
symptoms). Immediately nearest medical facility (hospital/clinic) will be
informed or the state or District helpline will be informed. Parents/guardians
will be informed about the condition of the student.
• If and when the Doctor recommends a positive tested student for hospital
admission, the student will have to abide by the same.
• If a student fall sick due to Covid (Severe Cases), it is mandatory for the
parents / local guardians to arrive at campus within 24-48 hours of the
reporting to take care of their ward.
VII. Group medical insurance including Covid coverage is available. However, students
are advised to have sufficient financial arrangements in case hospital insist on
advance deposit before initiated treatment/ hospitalization.
VIII.Thermal temperature scanning at every entry point in campus. Students entering
and exit the campus will undergo thermal scans.
IX. Students going out of campus for any medical emergency to the PHC or hospitals
to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine.
X. Sanitizers will be kept at the entry points of each hostel with the security.
XI. Separate disposal bin dedicated to the disposal of PPE kit/masks/gloves to
be placed at strategic points on campus.
XII. Student belongings (if any) stored in the common rooms can be accessed only after
the end of quarantine period.
XIII.Club/society related activities to be carried out virtually only till
further notice.
XIV. Gym will remain closed during the period.
XV. No out pass would be permitted during their entire stay in the campus
even beyond quarantine period. Hence, it is important to have sufficient
stocking of toiletries etc. However, Admin dept would extend support to
make daily need items available periodically.

Undertaking Form to Stay in Campus Hostels - COVID-19
Protocol
I hereby affirm that I don't have any comorbid health conditions, as specified by Ministry of
Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for COVID-19.
I also affirm that I have read and understood the current COVID-19 status at Hyderabad.
