2.1. Equipment Introduction

STN6200 series equipment developed by Sino-Telecom is access equipment of integrated services
which are used in the network access layer and convergence layer. STN6200 includes STN6200-II 2U
chassis and STN6200-IA 1U chassis.
STN6200-V 5U
Support insert maximum 19 boards, 2 power board, 1 fan board. It has the highest integration, and
support hot plug of board. When AC power supply the 5U chassis, support 16 boards, and when 2 DC
power supply, it support 19 boards.The AC/DC power supply adopts the front outlet design and supports
the power supply 1+1 protection. Easy to maintain.
STN6200-II 2U
It allows to insert 8*service boards, 2* power supply boards and 1* fan board. It has high equipment
integration and supports hot plug of boards. 2U chassis includes DC and AC types. DC chassis only
supports-48V DC power supply with front outlet. AC chassis can support -48V DC power supply or 220V
AC power supply. The power supply adopts back outlet design and supports 1+1 power supply
protection, which is easy for maintenance.
STN6200-IA 1U
It allows to insert 4*service boards, 2*power supply boards and 1*fan board, which are hot-pluggable.
The equipment adopts -48V DC power supply or 220V AC power supply. Back outlet design is adopted
for the power supply and 1+1 power supply protection is supported. The equipment adopts front outlet
design for the service sub board, which is easy for maintenance.

2.3. Equipment Components

STN6200-V/II/IA equipment mainly includes chassis, fan, power supply and single board.
Chassis
STN6200 chassis includes 5U/2U standard chassis and 1U standard chassis, which is compliant with
IEC297 Design Specification.
Power Supply

For STN6200-V, the DC and AC chasiss support pre-DC and Pre-AC power supply, support 1+1 power
protection and back-up.
For STN6200-II, the DC chassis supports pre-DC power supply, and the AC chassis supports post-AC
power supply or post-DC power supply (dual power redundant backup).
STN6200-IA chassis is with dual power redundant backup, which supports post-AC power supply or
post-DC power supply.
Fan
STN6200-5U adopts STN6200-V-FAN.
STN6200-2U adopts STN6200-II-FAN.
STN6200-1U adopts STN6200-I-FAN.
Single Board
The single boards which can be used for STN6200 are listed in the following table. Except the Network
management Board(SC),power supply board and the fan board, all other service boards (LC) can be

3. Chassis
This chapter introduces STN6200 chassis, which mainly includes the following content:

3.1. Structure
The structure of STN6200-5U chassis is compliant with IEC297 design codes of 5U standard chassis.
STN6200-2U chassis provides the following slots:
 19 slots for the service boards ( 2 DC POWER Chassis ).

 16 slots for the service boards ( 2 AC POWER Chassis ).
 2 slot for the power board ( DC power takes half slot, and AC takes half ).
 1 slot for the fan board.
The STN6200-5U chassis is designed with left and right ventilation. Grounding terminals are designed on
the left side of the chassis and the left mounting ears to facilitate grounding the device in different
installation environments. To facilitate grounding in most installation environments, it is highly
recommended to use the ground terminal on the mounting ear on the left side of the chassis.

There is an ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) jack on the front panel of STN6200-II-FAN. Anti-static wrist

7. Wavelength Conversion Board

7.1. STN6200-OTU10
STN6200-OTU10 is a kind of optical link wavelength conversion and optical signal amplification board
launched by our company. It adopts the conversion principle of optical-electrical-optical to regenerate
optical signals, so as to realize the regenerative amplification and wavelength conversion of optical
signals. With C/DWDM multiplexer/de-multiplexer, WDM transmission, wavelength conversion and OEO
signal amplification can be realized. It is especially applicable to optical communication systems such as
155M~10G/s, SDH/SONET and Ethernet. It provides fast and low-cost transmission schemes for optical
fiber relay and transmission lines with scarce optical fiber resources.
