1. SCOPE OF WORK
This Method Statement covers the nature and type of work for the Installation of CCTV
System by BEC-MEP to King Abdullah Project (KAP2E2).
This method statement gives guidelines contained herein so as to ensure that the job
execution complies with the requirement of the specifications and the authorities
concerned and serves the intended purpose to satisfactory level.
This procedure is to be read in conjunction with the relevant ITP, outlining the
responsibilities and the quality verification to be performed by various parties.

4. RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Manager
The project manager will have full authority and overall responsibility to
manage, supervise.
He will control the works and will have direct responsibility for ensuring safe
working practices and compliance with regulatory authority’s requirement.
He will coordinate with the engineers and the employer’s representative for
execution of the contract scope of works.
Project Engineer
Is responsible for ensuring that all works are carried out as per the
specifications, approved shop drawings and method statement as per
manufacturer’s instructions and coordinated with other works.
Site Engineer
The site engineer shall coordinate all the site activities according to
work schedule, installation according to the project specifications,
manufacturer’s data sheet and approved shop drawings.
Store Controller:
Verify all documents are forwarded with the item as per the
requirement of purchase order.

Construction team will ensure that manpower selected for the specified
job is well trained. Tool box talk shall be carried out before the work
commences at site to the involved workers through the supervisor and
foremen in charge the work, under the directives of in-charge engineer. The
work procedure and safety precautions should be clearly and concisely
explained to the workers in their own language so it is fully understood.
Work shall be carried out by the site staff under strict supervision and
guidance of the concerned Supervisors/ Foremen/ Engineers.
Ensure that the work area is ready and safe to start the installation of
CCTV Camera System.
All staff will have a safety induction carried out by the contractor before
commencing any activities on site.
Prior to commencing any activity, labour force shall receive a tool box
talk on the project site safety regulations from the contractor safety officer on
a weekly basis on topics appropriate to the activities being undertaken.
Any process that is adopted that may have particular safety risk will be
assessed and addressed as required.
Ensure all concerned personnel shall use PPE and all other items as
required and full specifications of equipment to be used.
Ensure that in all areas where there is a risk of falling from height
preventative measures will be taken and identify them.
Ensure service shaft opening are provided with barricade, tape, safety
nets.
All BEC-MEP tradesmen, operators etc. are qualified and will have
licenses and their competency level issued by BEC.
Access/ Egress: BEC will provide scaffoldings assembly with attached step ladder
and rubberize wheel. Platforms will be provided on top of the scaffolding assembly
and circulated with tubular railings at adequate height to protect the workers.
Aluminum step ladders will be used in instances where scaffolding is not permitted
in the workplace and for alignment purposes of installation. Safety personnel should
be involved in preparation and approval scaffolding assembly and ladders prior to
use.
Housekeeping: The supervisor has the responsibility to ensure the site is kept
clean from any debris. Any material leftovers shall be collected and put into
designated disposal box. Unused materials shall be returned to proper storage in
every end of each day work.
10. ENVIRONMENT:
Work shall be carried out by the site staff under strict supervision and
guidance of the concerned Supervisors/Foremen/ Engineers.
Remove the cover of the housing to install the camera and the lens.
Connect the camera to the lens, then connect the lens cable to the
camera.
Verify camera and lens operation and adjust the camera focus and iris
as necessary.
Mount the camera by fastening it to the ceiling with screws at the exact
location as per approved drawing.
Adjust the monitoring direction for the camera to adjust the lens in a
desired direction.
Operation of the system will not be undertaken until the system installation
has been completed and required power supply has been provided.
Switch on the AC power to all the components and check display of all
components for correct operation.
Check pictures quality, coverage and focus of all installed cameras and
ensure image quality is clear.
