Explore Infrastructure Providers


1. Navigate to Compute → Infrastructure → Providers.

2. A list of your datacenter infrastructure providers appears, such as VMware vCenter and Red Hat
Virtualization.

3. In very large environments, you can discover new infrastructure providers by

using
a. Click Configuration → Discover Infrastructure Providers.
b. Review the data entry screen, but do not enter any information.
c. Click Cancel to return to the previous screen.

4. You can also add infrastructure providers by using


a. Click Configuration → Add a New Infrastructure Provider.
b. Review the data entry screen, but do not enter any information.
c. Click Cancel to return to the previous screen.
5. Explore the Virtual Thumbnail for the infrastructure providers:

o All infrastructure providers have a four-quadrant Virtual Thumbnail.


o The top left quadrant shows the number of hosts in the provider.
o The bottom left quadrant represents the type of provider, such as vCenter or Red Hat Virtualization.
o The bottom right quadrant shows the status of the provider.
