Reflection

The document discusses several topics: 1. The meaning of life is whatever we choose to give it through our actions and finding purpose in life. Hardships are inevitable but we must find meaning. 2. Happiness involves positive emotions and life satisfaction in both the present moment and overall sense of how one feels about their life. Suffering can teach us to seek and trust God and prepare us to help others. 3. Community involves caring for one another and a sense of belonging, while society involves persistent social interaction and shared cultural expectations under common political authority. Both individuals and governments can work to create positive change. 4. Being part of a society provides benefits like friendship, self-esteem

REFLECTION

I have understood that the meaning of life is to give life a meaning. Throughout my
entire life, I have wondered what the purpose is. Why am I and every other human being even
on this planet in the first place? All my life I have worked hard to succeed. I have challenged
myself and fought to do better than my best. Why? I asked myself. Why stress so much when
I’m only going to die in the end? Pessimistic, I know. Finally, I thought, maybe the meaning of
life doesn’t have to be so complex. Maybe the meaning of life is whatever we want it to be.
Maybe the meaning of life is to give life a meaning. I do what I do because I want to do it. It’s
that simple. I do it because it means something to me. Everyone adds their own meaning to
life. The meaning of life is never universal. The meaning of life is never complex. Life is not
always what it is cracked up to be. Hardships, struggle, and crisis happen every minute of every
day. We go through life not really knowing or understanding what life really is about.
Essentially, to have a life you must be alive, but that is not necessarily the most important
aspect. Life is not, in any way, immortality. I do not believe there is anything after the life we
are living now

I have learned that happiness is an emotional state characterized by feelings of joy,

satisfaction, contentment, and fulfillment. While happiness has many different definitions, it is
often described as involving positive emotions and life satisfaction. When most people talk
about happiness, they might be talking about how they feel in the present moment, or they
might be referring to a more general sense of how they feel about life overall. Because
happiness tends to be such a broadly defined term, psychologists and other social scientists
typically use the term 'subjective well-being' when they talk about this emotional state. Just as
it sounds, subjective well-being tends to focus on an individual's overall personal feelings about
their life in the present.

I have felt that suffering is not without purpose. God sovereignly uses circumstances to
teach powerful lessons or accomplish His will. Suffering causes the biblically-grounded believer
to worship God—praising His providential hand and trusting His loving heart—even when the
causes for hurtful circumstances are unclear. Suffering Teaches Us to Seek and Trust God. In
the midst of an extreme trial, it can be hard to develop mature faith. Whatever character and
faith are already built into a Christian’s life prior to going through suffering tends to come out
during suffering. But lessons learned in suffering can equip a believer for future ministry.
V. Reflection

I have learned that community and society have different meaning community is a
group of people that care about each other and feel they belong together. Let's take that apart:
“A group of people”: in the end of the day, a community always exists of humans. On the other
hand society is a group of individuals involved in persistent social interaction, or a large social
group sharing the same spatial or social territory, typically subject to the same political
authority and dominant cultural expectations.

I have understood that changes in society have always been a major concern for every
nation. It is believed that these changes can be made only by the government, whereas others
argue that an individual can make a difference and eventually change the society. This essay
will address both sides of this argument and finally reach to a conclusion with an opinion. On
the one hand, it is considered that government of every nation can make important changes in
society by enforcing the law and conducting the awareness seminars. To put this in another
way, people’s safety can only be ensured if the government enforces law and order in society.
For instance, according to a social experiment, safety is a crucial matter in a society which is
being expected by people from the ruling administration. Moreover, government should take
effective steps in order to conduct the awareness seminars which will help people to aware and
understand the acute problems of a society. Thus, government plays a vital role in making a
significant difference between a better and worse society.

I have felt that society make me more confident about myself. Being part of a society
provides many different benefits; not only I do make new friends, but I can take part in
activities that can boost my self-esteem and provide a sense of value within the wider
community. Society membership gives us students a balance of coursework and social life
throughout their university experience.
