CONSUMPTION (daily) and SPEED


1. At Sea:
Laden condition – Speed about 13.0 kts at consumption about 22.5mt IFO +0.1mt MGO ;
Ballast condition –Speed about 13.5kts at consumption about 22.5mt IFO + 0.1mt MGO

shall be for reference only.
2. At port:
Idle or no gear work – Consumption 2.0mt IFO plus 0.1mt MGO; or
With gear work – Consumption 3.5mt IFO plus 0.1mt MGO
3. Additional consumption: addition to above, whether at sea or in port:
When using donkey boiler: 1.2mt IFO daily.
When ballast water operation: 0.5mt IFO daily.

Note 1: The speed and consumptions at sea shall mean sailing at deep sea and under good weather
condition that with calm sea with wind speed not exceeding Beaufort scale 4 and Douglas sea state
3 (max. significant wave height 1.25m), no adverse currents and no negative influence of swell,
always basis clean/smooth hull bottom, trim by stern or even keel without any trim by head and not
loaded more than summer load line and without any deck cargo loaded on. A good weather day is
to be calculated basis noon to noon consecutive without any hour under weather/sea condition
other than in this TC description.
Note 2: The word "about" or “abt” means: (+/-)0.5 knots for the speed and (+/-)5% for the consumption.
Favorable current always work to Owners’ advantage. No extrapolations to be made for
weather/sea conditions other than in TC descriptions.
Note 3: Vessel is entitled to burn MGO for M/E which solely at shipmaster's decision for safety purpose
when manoeuvre in/out of ports/berths/narrow waters/ channels/canals/rivers/straits/coastal waters/
adverse-bad weather/ rough seas, and during poor visibility, and light running of auxiliary engines,
and in ports where compulsory to burn Very Low Sulphur oil and in any case of safety and
emergency.
Note 4: When vessel stay at or entering/passing Emission Control Area(ECA), LSFO(Low Sulphur Fuel Oil)
and/or VLSFO(Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil) and/or ULSFO(Ultra-Low Sulphur Fuel Oil) and/or
LSMGO are to be used to comply with the requirements of national regulations and/or international
conventions relating to Emission Control.
Note 5: Vessel to have the liberty of slow-steaming at sea for the purposes of ballast exchange, if so
required. If chemicals are required to treat the ballast during exchange, then the cost of chemicals
to be for charterers account.

Bunker Specifications and Bunkering Clause:


 Always use fuels in compliance with the latest requirements of Sulphur limit – Marpol Annex VI and
emission control requirements by any national or international maritime rules.
 No mixing of fuels of any grade permitted.
 Quality of all grades of bunkers supplied shall in compliance with ISO 8217:2017 (with latest version or
amendments) DMA/DMX specifications. IFO(VLSFO/ULSFO) -RMG380 with sulphur content for VLSFO
to be less than 0.5% and for ULSFO to be less than 0.1%. MGO to be as per ISO8217:2017(with latest
version or amendments) DMA specifications and with sulphur content less than 0.1%. MGO to be with
minimum viscosity of cst 4 when at 40℃, and IFO to be with Ignition quality CCAI not exceeding 850.
 Charterers’ liabilities to supply suitable fuel to enable main propulsion and auxiliary machinery to operate
efficiently and without harmful affect. Fuels to comply with current SOLAS, CIMAC recommendations/
guidelines and to be mineral based products and shall not contain waste lubricants (ULO), chemicals,
phenols, styrene, DCPD, inorganic acids, refinery waste, tar oil or any other harmful substances and shall
be of homogenous and stable nature. Should supplied fuel not meet required specifications or otherwise
be unsuitable for smooth burning in vessel’s engines, charterers shall arrange for discharging of such fuel
and, upon owner’s request, for tank & pipe cleaning, both at charterers’ expense and time. BIMCO
Bunker Fuel Sulphur Content Clause for Time Charter Parties 2004 to apply and all applicable national
and international fuel oil regulations to be fulfilled by charterers. Charterers also warrant that any bunker
suppliers, bunker craft operators and bunker surveyors used by the Charterers to supply such fuels shall
comply with Regulations 14 and 18 of MARPOL Annex VI, including the Guidelines in respect of sampling
and the provision of bunker delivery notes.
 DNV fuel quality testing programme to be applied for sample analysis. Supplied bunkers are subject to
the lab. analysis prior to consumptions. Charterers agents to cooperate with immediate sending of
samples to laboratory. Costs for lab. Analysis not exceed usd1,000 per testing to be equally shared by
Owners and Charterers.
 Charterers warrant that whenever bunker is ordered for the vessel, the order explicitly not to put a lien on
the vessel and/or her owners and/or her managers and explicitly request “The Products must not include
waste chemicals, waste lubricants, harmful substances or other non- fuel components.”
 Sludge removal, if any during period of charter party, always to be for charterer’s account/time.
 For emergency reserve, the vessel shall always have a minimum quantity of usable marine distillate fuel
on board during all time of sea passage with such quantity enough for sailing consuming for at least three
days at laden condition including boiler burning and reefer sockets engaged.
