• The crew reported a fire shortly after takeoff
from Riyadh. After returning to the airport and
making a successful emergency landing, the
cabin crew was unable to open the doors due to
an electrical failure.

Training Requirements IATA 1.5
Training is an essential element in
maintaining a safe regulatory
regime. Dangerous goods training is
a mandatory (legal) requirement for
all individuals involved in the
preparation or transport of
dangerous goods by air .
Training Requirements IATA 1.5
• All categories of staff involved in the
movement of DGR by air are legally
required to have mandated job-specific
training.
• Refresher or recurrent training must be
received within 24 months of previous
DGR training to make sure that the
staff’s knowledge is up-to-date.
Training is mandatory for
