If you have completed the steps by the deadline, your registration date will be:
April 27 – 29 (Reg-to-Go Priority Registration)
You will receive your exact registration date by email at least one week before registration. Check your SCCCD
email regularly, especially if you belong to a group that qualifies for an earlier date (DSPS, Honors, Athletes, etc.)
SCCCD staff will contact you with details about registration assistance but if you would like to
register online on your own, instructions are located at www.fresnocitycollege.edu/registration. Check
the Next Steps Checklist for other important steps and dates, including financial aid information.

Next Steps CHECKLIST


Registering for classes is an important step in becoming a student at FCC, but there is still plenty to do after registration
to prepare for the beginning of the semester. Here are some things you can do before classes start:

1. CHECK YOUR SCCCD EMAIL DAILY


Your email is the primary method the college uses to send you important information including financial aid, registration eligibility, and
deadlines. To access your email, login through the FCC student portal. For login instructions, visit scccd.edu/studentlogin.

2.
APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov or the California Dream Act application at
dream.csac.ca.gov. If you need assistance, call the Financial Aid Office at 559-442-8245 or email financialaidoffice@fresnocitycollege.edu.
Additional scholarships and aid may be available, visit fresnocitycollege.edu/financialaid for more information.

3.
PAY YOUR STUDENT FEES
Even if your tuition is covered by financial aid, there may be additional costs such as the health or ASB fee. Check the fee amount
owed and the deadline in WebAdvisor or visit fresnocitycollege.edu/fees for more information, including how to submit your payment.

4.
CHECK YOUR WAITLIST STATUS
If you are waitlisted for a class during registration, make sure to check your SCCCD email daily for a “Permission to Register”
message. You will have four days (including weekends) to enroll in the class using WebAdvisor under the New Student Links section,
then Manage my Waitlist.

5. GET YOUR STUDENT ID*


Your student ID has many benefits! Purchase your ID card in the Business Office located in the Old Administration Building (OAB-151)
and take your student ID picture in the Student Activities Office (next to the Cafeteria).

Financial Aid HELPFUL HINTS
STEP 1 – THE FAFSA
1. Visit fsaid.ed.gov and create your FSA ID. An FSA ID is the username and password you’ll use to
complete and sign your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
2. Your parent should create their own FSA ID. This will let them electronically sign your FAFSA.
(Undocumented parents can’t create an FSA ID – they’ll sign your FAFSA on a paper form.)
3. Visit fafsa.gov and complete your FAFSA, as early as October 1 for the following school year. Be
sure to add FCC (school code: 001307) to your FAFSA so we get your information!

(for undocumented students)
1. Visit dream.csac.ca.gov and create your account. Create a username and password.
2. A Personal Identifcation Number (PIN) will be created for your parent at the end of your Dream Act
Application. This will allow your parent to electronically sign your Dream Act Application.
3. Visit dream.csac.ca.gov and complete your Dream Act Application, as early as October 1 for the
following school year. Be sure to add FCC (school code: 00130700) to your Dream Act application so
we get your information!
