Placement Test 30 minutes designated to assess
your listening and reading skills

• You should havereceived a unique code to take your placement test.

• You can take the test only once.

• It must be completed 48-hours prior to the course start date at the

latest.

• If you have not already, complete your test today! Without your results,
you will not receive your class schedule & information.

• The test cannot be done on iOS, tablets, or cellphones. Please use a

laptop or computer.

• If you have provided your official English proficiency test result or have
taken a placement test within the last three months, we will place you
according to those results (and you do not need a code).

Notes:
1. Class schedules are sent by email by the SUNDAY (6PM ET, Toronto Time) before your course begins. It is also available on
your Student Portal.
For example, if you start your classes on the 24th, you will receive your class schedule on the 23rd.

2. ILAC reserves the right to change classes or teachers depending on demand and availability.
3. If you don’t receive your class schedule, please contact online@ilac.com.

Use these instructions to access your ILAC Student Portal for the first time and check your class schedule on the Student Portal.

Under Classing, click on Class Schedule to see your class information. Your class information will be available on Sunday.
Check News for updates.

ILAC and teachers do not receive messages in the Student Portal. Please send your messages to online@ilac.com directly. If you
have issues signing into the portal, please contact support.

1. On Tuesday, you will receive your e-textbook Access Key.

2. Go to English.com/login (bookmark page).

Log in with your account.

3. Click on ‘Add a Product’ and copy & paste your access key.

Level Progression
ILAC students will progress through
different levels during their studies.

Level progression is based on the following

criteria:

1. Attendance and Participation

2. Coursework

3. Test results Main week → Test week → Main week → Test week

Please note:
*Every other week, all ILAC students write a test to check their progress in class.
*It takes, on average, 8 weeks to complete one level.
*Students may take as much time as required to complete the program.

PRESTO card
• You can buy a PRESTO card ($6) at any subway station
or Shoppers Drug Mart.

• The PRESTO card can be used for bus, subway or streetcar.

• Tap your PRESTO card on a card reader when you enter a subway
station or board a vehicle. Your fare will be deducted, and
a transfer will be applied to your card or ticket.
This transfer allows you to enter and exit the TTC as much as
you’d like within a two-hour period.

• If you are under 19 years-old, you qualify for Youth Fare.
