I am Jannatun Nime Jotey, a fresh graduate from Bachelors of Engineering in
Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh Army University Of Science and Technology, Saidpur, Bangladesh with CGPA 3.70 out 4.0) I am submitting this documents to be considered for scholarship award for master degree in North Eastern University for intake of batch 2020.
There is no limit to educate yourself and you can never say that, I have completed my education. Because every day new inventions are taking place around the globe and to compete with the world you have to educate yourself every new day. This is what I thought about research and education. I loved to play games and enjoying videos and cartoon from my childhood. And this becomes my motivation to start Computer Engineering. I took admission and have completed Bachelor Science in Computer Engineering Technology during my study I do visit many software companies and got interested in programming. So, I decided that will continue my studies in field of Computer Engineering. And I also have done internship as Trainee Engineer at WeDev in which I have learnt a lot about the programming Language especially python used for Artificial Intelligence and Web Programming.
I was an active somehow indulgent student among others during my undergraduate studies, My Final Year Project named as “Query Subtopic Mining and Ranking For Web Search” by using Python. It is research-based project. Search queries are usually short, ambiguous and have multiple interpretations. Identifying possible subtopics is one of the key strategy to disambiguate a search query. I introduce multiple semantic features to rank subtopics in the cluster. The clusters are then diversified by balancing relevancy and novelty. The cluster relevance score is estimated by combining cluster score and subtopic importance. I employed Jaccard coefficient to estimate the novelty of a cluster based on word embedding. Finally, a diversified list of subtopics is generated by selecting top ranked subtopic from each cluster. I conducted experiments on NTCIR-10 INTENT-2 and NTCIR-12 IMINE2 English subtopic mining test collections. The results conclude that my proposed method outperforms other methods in subtopic mining.
The project is entitled “Web Based Online Shopping” for E-Commerce industry. he business- to-consumer aspect of electronic commerce (e-commerce) is the most visible business use of the World Wide Web. The primary goal of an e-commerce site is to sell goods and services online. This project deals with developing an e-commerce website for online shopping. It provides the user with a catalog of different product available for purchase in the store. In order to facilitate online purchase a shopping cart is provided to the user. The system is implemented using a 3-tier approach, with a backend MySQL database, a middle tier apache server and a web browser as the front-end client. In order to develop online shopping application use HTML, CSS, JAVA Script, server side scripting language PHP and relational database MySQL. This is a project with the objective to develop a basic website where consumer is provided with a shopping cart application and also to know about the technologies used to develop such an application
Research Interest: My research interests are mainly in the area of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Now-a-days these fields are very important and all the countries are working on these topics to develop new energy systems. Further I’m planning to study at NorthEastern University. I believe that my academic training and working experience as Computer Engineer prepared me to be an effective researcher. I can work individually as well as a team member.
My personality: By fact, I am socially active person with friendly nature, a good
communicator who is blessed with many friends. I keep a keen view to the reality of life thus approach people with positive mind and attitude and always prove to be helpful with honest efforts and true dedications. Besides that, I always feel very joyous and fortunate to meet and greet people belonging to different background and cultures. As such meetings are always important because they prove to be beneficial in future also it makes things easy to cope whether one works or studies in his own country or outside the country.
Study Plan in China: I will purse my Master’s Degree in Degree name at uni name. The normal length of study is about 2.5 years. Throughout these 2.5 years, my study and research will be focused on research name. The time arrangement of the Master’s program in degree name is listed as follows:
I would like to put most effort to my first year on studying core courses and teaching. I’ll also attend seminars, beside. I’ll join a research groups and do some preliminary of my research. I’ll then finish my graduate research proposal under the instruction of my research advisor. This proposal will probably be related to my preliminary research. According to my research proposal, I will carry out my research plan, arrange detailed experiments, analyses the results and modify the schemes. High quality research papers are expected to be published on international academic journals during this period. After finish most of my graduate research then, I’ll focus on my graduate dissertation and degree defense. I’ll also pay attention to the job market and find position as a professional researcher.
Reasons to study in China: Knowledge and experience of China is an increasingly valuable
asset in many industries especially in Pakistan and financial support is an important factor in the decision to study in China. The current rise of China has made it very clear that those who can speak Chinese and have experience living in China will have a great advantage in terms of employment. Thus such kind of positivity has boosted my confidence further and I’m highly satisfied with the decision I have taken. Moreover, China’s diverse cultural norms and values, the famous gentle hospitality of its people and Pakistan-China all weather friendly relations since past to promote bilateral trade, acceptance and peace to both sides in great clarity make me feel China as my second homeland; also my family fully supports my choice for China being my preference for graduate studies.
